The Book of Kree Captain C3G MARVEL WAVE 49 COSMIC WARS Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Supernova set. Its model number and name are #002 / Kree Captain. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - An empire as vast as that of the Kree, with hundreds of worlds stretching across the Magellanic Cloud, has resource needs even vaster. And so, there must be conquest - and where there is conquest, there must be leadership. The Kree Captains are the foremost of their forward officers, and the best suited for such missions. SPECIES = KREE UNIQUENESS = UNCOMMON HERO CLASS = COMMANDER PERSONALITY = DISCIPLINED SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 3 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 6 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 75 KREE FORWARD OFFICER A Common Kree figure you control may add 1 to its Range when attacking a figure within 4 clear sight spaces of this Kree Captain, to a maximum of +2 Range for all Kree Captains you control. COORDINATED ASSAULT When a Common Kree figure you control attacks an opponent's figure that is within 4 clear sight spaces of this Kree Captain, you may re-roll one attack die that did not show a skull. Nice and simple design. I like it. Forward Officer is a simple leadership power. I would consider allowing them to get a grand total of +2 move if there's numerous Captains nearby.
Coordinated Assault is nice. No complaints there. Like Superheroes and Comics?

Nice!
One problem with him having a class of Soldier is that it creates some ambiguity with the Kree Soldiers - where their powers shout out 'Kree Soldier', that could now be interpreted as either referring to the unit name, or to the species/class combo. This is also a problem that came up on the Amazon Warriors recently - I've been thinking of suggesting we go back and tweak the names of units that are just named [species] [class]. |

I agree with the point that uncommon heroes should probably be able to stack better. Wish the move got boosted to a max of +2-3 instead of +1.

The only reason was because I didn't want it to be too overpowered, and the Soldier thing was intentional and a FAQ could cover that.

It's been a while since I have used the Kree common figures. I'll need to review what they can do already. Excited to see that faction expand though as I know they needed some love.

Looking at how Kree Invasion works on the Kree Soldier card, I'd give him at least 3 life, if not 4.
Not sure I'm sold on the idea that they need more move, the Scouts move 6 already and can teleport others up to their locations, the Soldiers move 5 and have a swarm/group movement power when fighting alongside a Kree unique (or uncommon) hero. Maybe a range boost for the soldiers from 5 to 6, and the Scouts range of 7 bumps up to 8? Then either eliminate or extend the aura for Coordinated Assault's target choices. Have the Capt. choose a target farther away and the extra range allows more Soldiers to hit that target without moving off high ground gained via the Scouts. |
