Loose plan for initial. Haven't actually played Livewire before, but she looks like she might pair well with Demogoblin's movement stuff.

Put the Maximum Carnage gang up against an army with another symbiote both times because I'm planning to throw the Sonic Gun on the battlefield and get that taken care of at the same time.

Ooh, yeah, he stacks nicely with Beast Man, since he can do his passive move thing on Beast Man's OM, and Beast Man can still do all his stuff.

Yeah, I definitely want to see him with Beast Man for that reason.

First thought is a Martian Manhunter autowound movement squad. Already a strong build there and this guy could add a lot to it.

I think those tests look good.

I'd probably want to see something with like... Zombie and a wound resistant Minion once we get to public? Just like generally stuff that can get you a turn after the Minion.

Like Demo can also work with Robot or the like, but there are plenty of other options for that that basically do what he does there. So not really worried about that angle.

Carnage team got a bit steamrolled in this one. Skull/Ravage/Venom combo dismantled Shriek and Doppelganger early on, which really broke Carnage's back.

Demogoblin didn't get a ton of Marauding Minion movement as a result, but he managed to get a few licks in, in the endgame. He finished Ravage off and spread some wounds around to get Maximum Carnage on the board. Never used the self-wounding option of Vindication. Didn't feel like he really had the breathing room to go for it, and the extra wound wouldn't have been a difference maker on either of his successes.

Much tighter, more exciting match this time - Demogoblin has a lot of ability to flit around and be an annoyance, since the enemy is generally more focused on trying to bring down Shriek and Carnage. Bloodshot had some great rolls that helped him do that, but on the flipside, Demogoblin had a lucky roll soften up Sgt. Rock early.

Demogoblin got to use the self-wounding aspect of Hellfire Vindication a couple times in this one, helping tee up the eventual narrow win over the Soldiers.

Fast and furious match - the first round really decided it, and whichever side came out on top of the initial conflict there would have won with most of its army intact.

Beast-Man and the Man-Bats racked up 4 wounds on Reed really fast, but then Ben went to work.

Demogoblin got a couple chances to go for auto-wounds, but only pulled it off once - he went for the self-wound option since Thing was gonna mess him up anyway.

Demogoblin got iced early in this one - he helped bring down Rover, but then Wild Child got a big hit in on him that took him out.

Awesome Android + Kid Flash were rock solid on defense, but Jean helped lock them down enough to give the more-efficient Mutants time to wear them down.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Much as I like the simple, clean version we've got now, I think Marauding Minion could use a slight retool to snake around Beast-Man; the Beast-Man/MBAs combo feels strong enough to me that I'd rather not tack another thing onto it, and that felt like it might drive his points a bit. (I recognize that Demogoblin didn't actually get to do much in that one, but it's not gonna turn out to be Clobbering Time every time you play that army)

Probably I'd just move Demogoblin's free move to after the end of the Minion's turn and phrase it as a turn during which he can't attack. That'd rule out the Livewire synergy as well as the Beast-Man, but I'm indifferent on that.

Otherwise, I like him quite a bit. Felt like he had more longevity in the Max Carnage build mainly just because there were big targets taking the heat off him there, whereas in the other matches he was targeted earlier.
