The Book of Casual Rule: Throwing Destructible Objects

So all Destructible Objects that have a size and height have a set distance they can be thrown, and a set amount of dice to roll for the attack regardless of its health?

I'd be down for that, but I'd probably request a few playtests. Balance with the rest of the game isn't super important, but having the rules be fun on their own seems vital.

THis does remove the ability to toss a DO forward without doing an attack. Is that something anybody cares about?

I think it would help for sure. It's a little cheesy to chunk something and then attack or vice versa.

Definitely needs playtesting. Hoping for fun casual rules that people want to use. And I don't think throwing around things without using them to attack is very comic book-y.

Seems like a simple way to handle it.

I think the biggest issue will be placement. Like how do you place the Shipping Container if it gets a DO. Or the uprooted tree? What do you do if there isn't a legal place to put it? Crap like that would need to be worked out.

If you can't do something legally, you can't do it.

I think this should follow the 3 space or bigger movement rules. And then they can just follow those, since those will be official game rules.

That said, I think this should be done as a draftable Event Card (I was just brainstorming some mechanics, not doing a formal write up) and replace the optional rules. I think we should move past optional rules, honestly, as it's a lot cleaner for something to either be part of the game or not.

For sure. His rules run into the same thing that our optional rules do, though, which is they're not really part of a set of cohesive C3G mechanics.

If you don't want to worry about placement, you could do this:

When a figure with the Super Strength special power adjacent to a Destructible Object attacks with a normal attack, you may remove that Destructible Object from the game to change the Range and Attack numbers on the figure's Army Card to the Range and Attack numbers associated with that Destructible Object's size for that attack.

Small Range 5 Attack 2
Medium Range 4 Attack 3
Large Range 3 Attack 4
Huge Range 2 Attack 5
