So very late to the party sorry but.. like.. how the heck is this size changing stuff supposed to work?

Like any power that lists a size or height on it is never not 'referring' to it. It's just in the text. There's no point they go "I say huuuge are you huuuuge brah! Check and see!" (though powers being written as if they were surfer dudes would be awesome). "Having a size in your text" is not the same as targeting something.

Like if a power says "Huge figures have +1 Attack" there's no point that's not 'referring' to something. So when is "immediately"? When the game starts?

Seems like this should just say "Plastic Man may change his size at anytime" or something? That's like properly clear IMO. And like effectively what it is now even if he is supposed to do it when.. 'size referred to action' happens if he can do it every time he's 'size referred to actioned' for free.

Personally I think you'd want to avoid height changing cause like then he's just going to be changing his height to 0 (or 1 if you put in a rule that you can't pick zero) to do weird engagement shenanigans. (or like I guess you could specifically set a range of heights he can be but that still gets pretty messy if he can do it whenever IMO).

That's fair. I just copied the wording we had on Martian Manhunter but you have a solid point that the trigger is not sufficiently clear and that height changes probably shouldn't be messed with.

I'll write up a proposed change in a minute here.

At the start of each turn, Plastic Man may change his Size to Tiny, Small, Medium, Large, or Huge. After a figure ends a move action 2-6 spaces away from Plastic Man, if that figure was adjacent to Plastic Man during its movement, you may either place Plastic Man adjacent to that figure or place that figure adjacent to Plastic Man.

How's that look?

I'd go activation over turn, otherwise I don't see what's wrong with "anytime" as the trigger as suggested. Do we really need to list the sizes out?

I don't think we do. As long as we aren't specifically changing the height I think it's fine.

Using "anytime" as a clarifier seems fine and if it makes things more clear then that works for me.

I don't like anytime, just because it becomes really vague when you have to declare it, etc. So something like this?

The start of every activation seems like a lot to keep track of, and easy to forget if you’re not interrupting the start of every single activation. I had a similar thing on Gali for a while before we changed it due to that reasoning.

Anytime seems reasonable to me - so you just declare it whenever it’d come up in gameplay.

Do we need the "to any other Size"?

Plastic Man may change his Size at any time.

That feels fairly explanatory. And I'd imagine the Sizes are written in the rules, yes? So someone can't just make one up.
