Yep, the 90s one. Bloody awesome if you ask me - was my favourite cartoon for a long time, but the 2003 Turtles and Gargoyles really are pretty special.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

You asked, time to deliver (well, technically I prompted this).

1. Westworld
2. Game of Thrones
3. The Walking Dead
4. Daredevil

Stranger Things, Breaking Bad, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage all rank, but I don't know where.

To quell Bats' curiosity, Westworld came out of nowhere for me. I never thought Game of Thrones and Walking Dead would be dethroned, but Westworld shocked me when it dropped two years ago. Every corner is a surprise, a new fold in the mystery, and forceful thinking about impossible or unfathomable concepts. I'm frequently in awe while watching it. Jaw dropped, can't bring it up, brain trying to digest things it's never thought about before. Simply remarkable.

I watched the 2003 TMNT intermittently whenever I happened to catch it back in the day. If it popped up on Netflix or something I could definitely see myself taking a shot at watching the whole thing in a more structured way.

I vaguely recall watching at least one episode of Gargoyles but I don't remember much of it.

Yeah, both those series work better when you're able to watch them through rather than just catching an episode here and there. I remember I watched TMNT like that when it first aired and liking it, but the storyline episodes (generally the best ones) work better watched in order. Gargoyles I can hardly even imagine just watching an episode out of context, the continuity is so tight.

Anime Is a Different List

Rough order. Didn't include anime. Also didn't include RWBY because I'm not sure if it continues as a TV show or not.
  • Doctor Who
  • Adventure Time
  • Avatar: Legend of Korra
  • Avatar the Last Airbender
  • Community
  • Futurama
  • Teen Titans (the good one)
  • Gravity Falls
  • Rick and Morty
  • Sense8

Honorable mentions go to Firefly, Young Justice, Sherlock (didn't like the last season), The Good Place, Phineas and Ferb, Stranger Things, and Star vs the Forces of Evil

~Dysole, who watches a lot of kids shows for being a 29 year old woman

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

Young Justice and Phineas and Ferb are great choices as well. I too watch a lot of kids shows but I have an 11 year old.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those.

Altered Carbon was solid.

Only 3 seasons in on Smallville. My son and wife love it, I'm a little over all the teen drama. Just waiting for him to graduate HS I guess because I've heard it's so great. First season was great and then it went down for me. I'm hoping it comes back up.
I always forget that Sherlock is a TV show. Has more of a movie franchise feel.

Smallville was kinda drug out but the last 3ish Seasons are all fantastic. I also watched it years ago so I'm not sure how well it has aged.
Sherlock does feel like several movies rather than a tv show. I haven't seen the last season yet.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

For anyone interested in following along with the potential first Valiant design in Peter Stanchek and wanting background:

Harbinger issue 1 is currently available for a free download on Valiant's twitter page.
All the trades of the main run are on Comixology Unlimited right now, which costs 6 bucks a month.

Design is primarily rooted in Harbinger 0-25, plus the original Harbinger Wars event.

Are there major differences between the OG 1990s character and the reboot character? I’m not really familiar with either, just out of interest.

Re: The C3G Cave - Hangout

I'm not super familiar with the 90s version. The reality is there are differences in all the characters across the three eras (Original Valiant, Acclaim Era, and VEI Era). Acclaim was the most substantial differences. Such as Ninjak being a kid who got ninja powers from a game, rather than a British secret agent like in the other 2 eras.
