Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Well, if you want to give an Elizabethan (16th Century) character a gun that was invented in the 1860s, I guess you can. But I think most people want to see a historical figure wielding weapons and using tactics from their own time period. Otherwise, what's historical about them?

Well met! In Vahalla, she could probably pick up a ray gun if she wants. But let’s just call her guns improved flintlocks. |

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Since Thrasher followed Sherman, we're back to the top of the order, and that would be you, if you're going to be around in August.

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
You are, since we take turns in age order and ThrasherDarkrai just hosted. I totally understand why you would forget though, since we've only been doing it this way for a decade or so.

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
He's a "Superhero." Look at all the other historicals. (The exception proves the rule).
But she's now been changed out of all recognition from the figure we played with anyhow. Her current range is long for a sword specialist. |

Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Well met! For my August Hosting: The Map. We'll be playing on Highways & Dieways, Angkor Ed. with expanded Start Zones. The two Power Glyphs will be replaced by Brandar's Chests, which shall represent Buried Treasure. The Armies. Armies will be 400 points, 12 spaces, divided into two teams. (I'll be prepared to field two armies if need be.) Classic, SoV, and C3V, allowed, no AoA or Marvel. (I'll be fielding Gráinne O'Hara in one team to test for SoV, which is why no AoA (to eliminate Pirate bonding possibility).) The Buried Treasure. The Buried Treasure is indeed buried - deep. A unit must be on the Buried Treasure hex unengaged to dig for it, and must announce that it is so doing. Place a marker on the Buried Treasure for each turn of digging. Once three markers have been placed, the Buried Treasure is available to be picked up as though it were a normal Treasure Glyph. On the Round following both Buried Treasures having three markers placed on them or having been picked up, the teams disband, and the players are all hostile to one another. Victory Conditions. At the end of 10 Rounds, Victory Points (VPs) will be awarded to each player as follows. One VP for each Buried Treasure acquired. One VP for the most points remaining (whole card scoring). P.S.: In the event that I, or anyone, is playing 2 armies (due to there being an odd number of players), before the beginning of the Round referred to in the italicized sentence above, the second army's units will be immediately removed from the game. Re: The New York City Gang Of Four
Map printed out. Please arrange for a date in August via private email as usual (not here).
By C3V do you mean VC, or did you mean to leave out SOV? |

Well met! Quote:
Pathfinder calls Gráinne's pistols "Alkenstar Pistols." See Kolakoski’s Pre-SoV Custom Corner. They are heavy flintlocks "which could easily hit a scrambling rat the length of an alley away, given a clear shot." |
