I will say this, though: letting us run through our process is worth the wait. Just having a random card is fine. Knowing it's balanced, quality controlled, and consistent is a whole other level.

Dino-Thor has me wondering if I am going to need to add Devourer to my Dinosaur synergy to exclude him or other weird outliers.

If people want to play wacky outliers Dino Thor or Beast Boy with the other dinos, why stop them? He's not going to throw off balance too much when they already have big bruisers like Satanus, right?

Satanus cannot fly 7. And it makes him less appealing to run if you have Dino-Thor as an option. Satanus is already not going to be an ideal choice due to his cost.

Do whatever you want with the dinos. Dino-Thor, if he ever happens, should have to accommodate them and not the other way around.

Locking stuff down by class could be nice if you're looking to exclude herbivores anyhow.

Bio - Andrus Tamm is a Teutonic knight who, during a holy war against Lithuanian pagans, became embroiled in the schemes of the Baltic gods. This led him to discover that he was himself the son of a Baltic god and a mortal woman.

Okay, probably not a comic most people are familiar with. I bought it off the creators at a con a few years back and just recently got around to reading it. Really enjoyed it - kind of like historical fiction meets a Thor comic, but from the perspective of the people around Thor.

Not sure what Fred's up to these days, but Adam Gorham's kinda blown up in the last few years. He's done some work at Valiant and he's drawn a couple books for Marvel; a recent New Mutants mini and a few issues of Rocket Raccoon.

No mini specific to Andrus, but I imagine there's something that works.

The design spoils the book a bit, but not hugely, and that's sort of inevitable.

Holy Sword is just the first half of Zauriel's Sword of Holy Flame power (no anti-Demon bonus). Andrus uses a sword that's supposed to have once belonged to an angel and has some divine power, so I thought it made sense to lift some mechanics.

With Stan Lee calling out publisher for the first time on a card, maybe we'll see Big Sexy Synergy someday. We can only hope.

Fine, simple design! We don't have too many "historical" heroes, and kind of feels weird with superheroes, but we do already have Jonah Hex and Solomon Kane so shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting anything C3G-able out of that book, but I did feel a strong Thor influence there. I think Andrus works surprisingly well in C3G. Plus we do have some time-displaced types running around, like you say. Someday we'll figure out an Immortus to lead them.

MINDLESS MINION
At the start of the game, choose a Unique Hero you control that has a Feral or Wild personality to be Demogoblin's Minion. After revealing an Order Marker on this card and instead of taking a turn with Demogoblin, you may take a turn with his Minion. Whenever his Minion is moved, you may immediately move Demogoblin.

HELLFIRE VINDICATION 15
After Demogoblin moves with his Flying special power, you may choose a figure he passed over and roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 15 or higher, you may either inflict a wound on that figure, or inflict a wound on Demogoblin to inflict two wounds on that figure.

HELLFIRE GLIDER
When Demogoblin starts to fly, he will not take any leaving engagement attacks. After you roll defense dice for Demogoblin, if he is not destroyed, you may move him one space for each skull you rolled. After this movement, if you choose the attacking figure for Demogoblin's Hellfire Vindication special power, add 4 to your roll.

Bio - The creature known as Demogoblin was originally a demon bonded to the second Hobgoblin by N'Astirh. The demon eventually separated from Hobgoblin and began his own reign of terror as Demogoblin. Demogoblin was deeply religious and determined to earn salvation for himself.... by destroying all sinners. And his definition of "sinner" included nearly every person that wasn't a child. This determination to purge all sinners lead him to strange alliances... notably, he frequently teamed up with Spider-Man's Doppelganger, and briefly allied himself with Carnage. He also saved the city of San Francisco from a demonic invasion and sacrificed his life to save a child, leaving behind a complicated legacy.

I used an old Viegon write-up as a starting point here.

The point of the Mindless Minion power is to capture Doppelganger, so the personalities may have to change slightly to accommodate him. (Tickle's talked about running him soon!)

I actually took a look at Judge Fire to refresh myself before jumping in here ("purge the sinners with fire!" is definitely a shared MO), but Judge Fire's only power on that theme is also a Dark Judge thing.
