Custom Bridges: New Samurai Bridge - base

Hi Scaper!

Now my next bridge, this will be a 2hex wide Orc Battle Bridge with crow´s nest attached to the middle of the bridge, here are some step by step images:


First i placed some small wood pieces to make the bridge snap on the hexes.


glue some wood pieces as base onto the edges.


Added some poles... the ground will be made of bamboo sticks.

teekay´s awsome hex mats are good for many purposes


... helped me marking the hexes on the bridge, drawn with a silver-colored pencil. Just thin lines, but clear enough for easy figure placing.


The Orc Bridge will be a bit more spiky - also silver-colored #

I like these "as you goes" that you are doing. Could or would you put them all in one forum so that it's all in one place? Then we know where to go to find "your work". if you get what I am saying.

What kind of sticks are you using to form the hex locks with ? are you cutting up craft sticks?

You should definitely put your stuff in a single thread and then just update it. I really like the look of this bridge too. I'm curious as to what you are making the frames out of also.

The spaces... this time they will be marked on the bridge but not now, first the Orc Battle Bridge will be painted black.. not pretty, but orcish

yes, i´m splitting mini craft sticks (the ones i used on my first bridge) into two pieces. Toothpicks or matches might work as well.

Wow! Nice bridge, Chicano! The only thing I would want to add would be some sort of markers to show where the hexes are. Looks fab, really fits really into the map!

Wow! Now that I see it finished I just got to say.. THAT IS AWESOME! I don't think you need to add any dots or anything to show where the hexes are. It is only two hexes wide it is easy enough to tell where you are going. Great work man! Thanks for sharing!!
