Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
Notably I don't think Herald's been used on a C3G card - C3G Norrin's an Adventurer - but Hasbro Surfer is a Herald, and I believe the original set figures are still deemed part of the canon.

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
Sorta though we don’t worry much about neglecting them. Ultimately they are other people’s children.
And, yes, of course! C3G Fan Foir friendly Adventurer Surfer is absolutely why we didn’t use the Herald class for Galactus’ power. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
We have a cool Synergy Archive thread to check things like that.

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
Herald has no synergies. Okay, let's poll! Since there are lots of opinions here, please vote and rank your top TWO choices:
– Acrobat (1,1,2,2) – Herald (2,2,1,1,1,1,1) – Loner (1,2,2) – Vagabond (1,2,2,2,1,2,2) My votes are Herald > Acrobat. Current through Bats. Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
Herald > Vagabond, though there's very little difference in my preference between Loner and Vagabond, with Vagabond winning mostly because I like the word more.

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
Vagabond>Acrobat (or Daredevil)
I'd also offer that you could make a strong case for Champion of Rama Kushna. Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. DISCLAIMER: C3G claims no ownership of the characters or artwork used for C3G customs. Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
I guess my argument is that I don’t feel like Herald captures what he’s doing most of the time. Sure I can think of plenty of stories where he’s bringing tidings of doom or showing up to warn the heroes, but I feel like there are more where he’s just a ghost guy floating about on some sort of mission or something. I don’t think it’s indicative of the character as a whole, especially if the card doesn’t have the Doomsayer power anymore. (Which I’m fine with, I like Acrobatics better)

Re: The Book of Deadman (Design Phase)
I know, but I was phone posting.
Edit: I don't disagree with Mr. Nobody's point, which is why I favor Vagabond the most. I think Herald is how he appears in his event stories, though, which is where most folks know him from. I don't think he's an Acrobat anymore than Batman is a Playboy/Industrialist or Superman is a Reporter. It's what they did in their civilian life, sure, but it's not who they are as a superhero. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
