I haven't read any Spawn stuff, but the only way his machine gun attack should be better than the other machine guns is if he walks around with a .50 caliber machine gun in one hand and a big box of ammo in the other hand. That would be a "heavy" machine gun.

I like the design as a whole, but I do have one small problem.

He only takes the wound if he attacks with his normal attack. However, he has a special attack that he can attack with possibly 3 or more times with a 4 attack (which isn't too shabby) so I really see no need to ever attack with the 6 attack. Perhaps it might be better to boost his attack to 7 (which isn't too much of a change) or change the power to anytime he attacks (to include the SA)

I think the SA should be dropped to 3 and just reuse Machine Gun Special Attack from Gorilla-Man's card. That would force the use of his normal attack versus most heroes, but still give him decent squad control without taking a self inflicted wound.

Aside from the fact that he's not going to likely be carrying around a .50 cal machine gun, having the special attack at 3 certainly does make the normal attack a better option much of the time when dealing with a single opponent, and thus taking the wound.

I started my own Spawn mod. I used Prowler so I wouldn't need to swap heads. I just need to find a bigger gun because Sgt Rock's looks too small in his hand.

It is interesting, but his bio on Wiki says: "Spawn also holds a vast arsenal of military grade weaponry and equipment as he frequently uses firearms as an alternative to his supernatural powers."

Spawn will often use all sorts of military grade weaponry including things that the Punisher or Gorilla-Man wouldn't even consider picking up due to it's massive size ... but to familiarize ourselves with some of the existing iconography of Spawn, here is Spawn w/ a variety of Guns:
