Drew's Customs updated Black Queen/Dark Phoenix 6/12
Here are some customs I have made with the great help of Yodajunkie. I created the stats and painted the figures and Yodajunkie created the cards. He does custom work through his Ebay site. Any feedback will be appreciated. First up is Zabu to go with that great UranusPchicargo's Kazar card. Sorry for the fuzzy pictures, still learning how to use the camera.

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs
Hey Drewman, sorry your custom seems to have been overlooked here - it seems you picked a busy time to post in this corner of the forums. Anyway, here's some feedback on the Zabu card:
- For Enhanced Jungle Strength, I assume you want it to apply when Zabu's adjacent to a Jungle tree or Brush piece. The Ticalla Jungle rulebook collectively refers to these as "Jungle pieces." - Pounce Special Attack should be a little more clear on what "move the defending figure back one space" means. For example, if your Zabu pounced a figure and you decided to place Zabu on the far side of the opposing fig, would that fig be pushed back in the direction Zabu pounced from? In other words, "back" as a direction is a relative term. - Protector of Ka-Zar could be worded closer to official Heroscape style. Right now, "deflect the attack" is kinda vague. How about, "If you roll an 11 or higher, Ka-Zar takes no damage and you must place Zabu adjacent to Ka-Zar. Place a Wound Marker on this card." |

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs
Just curious, what did you make Zabu from?

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs
Thanks for the feedback Sherman I will see if that can be cleared up a bit. Zabu was made from a Phantom Tiger from Horror Clix. Add two sabertooths made from plastic and a new paint job and you have a excellent Zabu in perfect scale.

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs
Here is my next custom Ch'od to complete the Starjammers. Any feedback would be helpful.

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs
A few quick notes - The ability titles should be left justified, not centered. The title for Combat Expert should be "Combat Expert Special Attack" (though that sounds like an odd name for a special attack ... Something like "Flurry of Fists Special Attack" might sound better). Then start the power text with the range distinction and get the range and attack all up on one line. It's called the 20-sided die in official text, not the D20. "On an 18 or higher" should read "If you roll an 18 or higher." For the Starjammers power, would something like Starjammer Unity or Starjammer Synergy or something like that describe the power a bit better than just Starjammers? Also, there's nothing on the card to make it clear that he's a Starjammer or how to readily identify other Starjammers. Maybe something like "If four unique heroes you control with the Starjammers Unite power are in play, you may add 1 die to Chod's attack and defense." Oh, and there's no "board" in Heroscape.
Looks good - you might have trouble fitting all four powers on the card as is, though. Edit: Oh yeah, and ability titles, the name of the custom, and left box text should all be in all caps. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Here is a custom Dr. Samson. Never liked the 80's version. I haven't made a card yet for him.

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs Gladiator 11/6
Here is a Gladiator card that Yodajunkie and I made. How does he compare to Superman?

Self-Doubt is a really cool concept that helps bring his cost down some. Even so, with that kicking in at a roll of 17 and you needing to actually be able to wound him first (which seems very, very hard to do), the crazy good powers and stats he has across the board make him seem like an incredible steal at 400. I'd conservatively bump him up to 500 points and go from there, honestly.
But, then, 7 special abilities is a bit much, even by my standards. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Yeah I do think he is a little bit overpowered. Maybe drop his defense down to 7 will help or drop the 20 sided down to 15 or 16. What do think.

Re: Drew's and Yodajunkie's Customs Gladiator 11/6
I think I'd do both and then cut the Bonding power too, which seems like it's a bit too open to possible bonding loops anyhow. That should give you a little more room to make the Invulnerability power sound more official too.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
