The Book of Two-Gun Kid
The Book of Two-Gun Kid C3G MARVEL WAVE 37 NO CAPES Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Avengers set. Its model number and name are #049 / Two-Gun Kid. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - In the Wild West, Matt Hawk is a lawyer from Boston, Massachusetts, who is inspired to fight evil as a masked crime fighter of the 19th-century American West by the stories of the fictional Two-Gun Kid, Clay Harder. After being trained in combat by the gunfighter Ben Dancer, the character assumes the dual identities of Matt Hawk and the Two-Gun Kid. With his horse Thunder, his partner "Boom Boom" Brown, and a pair of pistols, he becomes one of the West's most prolific heroes, often teaming up with the Rawhide Kid, Kid Colt, or the Phantom Rider. During one adventure, he is brought to the present day via time travel and joins the superhero team of the Avengers. He fights alongside them before leaving to wander America alongside his teammate Hawkeye, and eventually returns to his own time. Later, She-Hulk, after dealing with the Time Variance Authority, is given the chance to free one time-traveling Avenger out of continuity limbo. She chooses the Two-Gun Kid. It's clarified that his heroic nature prevents him from being returned to his own time, as he would inevitably try to fix things. In present time, he learns his previous modern-day encounters with the Avengers has resulted in his law license and other paraphernalia being kept in an Avengers safety-deposit box. Once he learns She-Hulk works for a law-firm, Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway, he tries to become her colleague. He comes to the conclusion he will never be able to catch up on current laws and becomes a bounty hunter. His first catch is the supervillain Bushwacker. Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
NAME = TWO-GUN KID
SECRET IDENTITY = MATTHEW J. HAWKINS SPECIES = HUMAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = CRIME FIGHTER PERSONALITY = NOBLE SIZE/HEIGHT = LARGE 5 LIFE = 4 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 6 ATTACK = 3 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 140 BOUNTY HUNTER At the start of the game, choose an opponent's Unique Hero to be Two-Gun Kid's Bounty. Two-Gun Kid rolls an additional die when attacking or defending against his Bounty. LET'S RIDE After revealing an Order Marker on the card of a Confident or Cocky Unique Hero you control and moving that figure, you may immediately move Two-Gun Kid. DOUBLE ATTACK When Two-Gun Kid attacks, he may attack one additional time. FLYING Last edited by Yodaking; December 31st, 2018 at 07:11 PM. |

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
Trying to find comic art with him on the skycycle seems to be a bit difficult as most art that pops up for him features him back in the old west. So we may end having to not use comic art that matches the mini, but here are some options. Let me know if any of them will work.

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
No new comments. Bounty Hunter is always fun and the personality callouts give great presence to this guy. Super simple design that appears on paper to accomplish its goals.
The OP says "The Book of ???", for what it's worth. Like Superheroes and Comics?

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
I have the mini and can supply pics once I get a sunny day.
For the mini background pics, since he's on his jet cycle I was thinking just a modern city buildings could work, like he's flying above a modern city looking for his bounty down below on the streets. |

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
Pretty simple a straight forward design here. Bounty Hunter and Double Attack are reused powers, the one new power just grants him free move bonding when running around with Cocky (Hawkeye II) or Confident (She-Hulk) figures. Those two are him most thematic pairings. He's not very tough on his own with the base 4 defense & 4 life, so he'll need his allies to distract the opponent while he tries to get into position to attack his Bounty with a double attack, hopefully from high ground. He fought crime in the Old West before being pulled into the future so I kept his class as Crime Fighter since it's unlikely he'll get more than one card. That makes him an option in a Luke Cage build where his ranged double attack and flying might prove useful. Thinking he will be low to mid 100's, so I'm looking at 140 right now as that would fit well with She-Hulk's 310 or Hawkeye II's 160.
Only real question I have is if Hawkeye II gives She-Hulk a ride on his skycycle and then issues some orders to her so she also takes a turn, that would me the Two-Gun Kid would get a double move on that turn. Is that an issue for anyone? Any thoughts from the CRB? @Soundwarp SG-1 @dok @Dysole |

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
Crime Fighter is kind of a weird class for him - he's kind of an oddball, so personally I'd go with an oddball one like Gunslinger or whatever - but he's pretty much an old west version of the modern superhero archetype so it works.
I'm not sure if he's ever hunted bounties, though, and he definitely didn't in the 21st century to my knowledge... so that stands out to me. JOHNNY139'S CLASSIC CUSTOM THREAD! | Visit now!

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
From Wiki:
In present time, he learns his previous modern-day encounters with the Avengers has resulted in his law license and other paraphernalia being kept in an Avengers safety-deposit box. Once he learns She-Hulk works for a law-firm, Goodman, Lieber, Kurtzberg & Holliway, he tries to become her colleague. He comes to the conclusion he will never be able to catch up on current laws and becomes a bounty hunter. His first catch is the supervillain Bushwacker. For a time he rooms with the Awesome Android, who has reformed and is also an employee of the firm. Liebowicz travels using a twin-engine jet cycle, donated to him by his superhero friend Hawkeye. During the company-crossover story arc Civil War (2006–2007), Liebowicz becomes a bounty hunter and works alongside She-Hulk, helping her to apprehend supervillains. |

Re: The Book of Two-Gun Kid - Breathing
Very cool. Looking to expand the synergy here with Red Durham, Johnny Alpha and to a lesser degree Wulf Sterhammer. Excited to swell the Bounty Hunter ranks!
