The Book of Yellow Lantern (Karu-Sil) C3G DC WAVE 51 LIGHTING UP THE NEW YEAR Comic PDF Mini PDF The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the War of Light set. Its model number and name are #037 / Karu-Sil. _________________________________________________________________ Character Bio - Born on Graxos III, Karu-Sil was orphaned as a young child when her parents were murdered during a raid on her village. In the days following the death of her parents, Karu-Sil wandered off into the jungle in search of food. There she encountered a pack of three fearsome beasts that took her in as their own. They hunted with and raised her as their own. Wanting to look more like her Fathers Three, Karu-Sil filed her teeth to points. One day, Karu-Sil and The Pack encountered a village near a river. She saw a boy, who approached her. She attacked him, and with the help of her fathers, slew him. They were then found by the Green Lantern, Blish, who mistakenly thought The Pack was attacking Karu-Sil and slew them. Afterwards, she was committed to an institution on Graxos IV where she slew one of her psychiatrists. She was freed from the institution when she was chosen to join the Sinestro Corps. Known for her distinct lack of mercy and her tendency to summon Constructs of her dearly departed Fathers Three (who she believed to be real), Karu-Sil can be seen leading Merciless Charges on her foes, the Green Lanterns, and is even seen recklessly charging in to gain vengeance. _________________________________________________________________ -Rulings and Clarifications-

SECRET IDENTITY = KARU-SIL SPECIES =GRAXAN UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = INSURGENT PERSONALITY =MERCILESS SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 6 MOVE = 5 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 2 DEFENSE = 3 POINTS = 340 YELLOW POWER BATTERY 3 Start the game with 3 yellow Battery Markers on this card. Add one to Yellow Lantern’s Move, Range, Attack, and Defense numbers for each yellow Battery Marker on this card. ENRAGED Add one to Yellow Lantern's Attack number for each destroyed Ferocious Yellow Construct in your army. If Yellow Lantern adds three or more dice to her Attack number with this special power, she may attack one additional time. MERCILESS ASSAULT Instead of attacking with Yellow Lantern, you may remove a yellow Battery Marker from this card to make an immediate attack with X other Insurgents you control within 6 spaces of Yellow Lantern, where X equals the number of Wound Markers on this card. Looks good to me. Merciless Assault encourages a lot of Sinestro Corps Warriors which is cool.

Man, her and the Pack Construct may just kill your entire army in one round. And if they don't they might be screwed, lol.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Yeah I'm thinking maybe a cap on the number of attacks. Not only does it encourage lots of the Soldiers, but in a bigger game we're talking Sinestro and Arkillo who can do serious damage just by themselves.

Is she normally a leader of the Sinestro Corps? Only kinda familiar with the character due to her having a neat mini/premise and a punny name.

I mean there is a limit of 6 attacks at once if you kill off her while she's unwounded. Might be balanced but that does seem strong with Arkillo and Sinestro around. It might be tricky to set up since she has to be within 6 spaces of all of them and they cannot move so they all need to be in position.

I like the basic ability here. What's the theme behind it, though? Does she have some form of self-harm powers, overextend, what sort of thing?

So the self-wounding bit probably isn't super thematic. I was probably trying to limit the attack bonding which I had to represent the theme here:

Worth noting that Arkillo is not an Insurgent.
Seems like pairing her with a dedicated healer could be a go-to move for cranking as many big turns as possible. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.
