There are a lot of sites just like that.

If they're offering you just-released comics for free, they're not legal.

I really recommend Hoopla - it's a website that requires you to have a library card to sign up, and sets a limit on the number of things you can borrow in a month, but it's legit and it has a pretty good comic selection.

Woah, that's so cool! I just signed up. I've always been bothered by the slim comic selection at the city library, but this remedies that nicely.

I use Hoopla quite a bit, decent amount of audiobooks too. My library also uses the Overdrive app, I know a bunch in New York state use it. Not so much comic stuff but a lot of ebooks and audiobooks.

I second Hoopla...

Also I'm spoiled, my library has Overdrive and a nice selection. Usually takes a few months for newer releases but I tend to grab the Trades anyways and they stock those pretty well. I got a 10" Kindle Fire for my birthday specifically for Comics...and it's great.

I grew up in upstate NY, about an hour north of Albany and just south of the boundary of the Adirondack Park. So I'm just sort of used to nothing happening in my immediate area (Heroscape or otherwise).

Probably there's a little more going on out here in the Boulder/Denver area, but I haven't been here long enough to explore that.

Maybe we should start a C3G Meet Up thread to see if we can make any regional connections. Of course, this is a terrible thing for me to bring up just as my busy season (school semester) is starting ....
