Character Bio - While spending time with his grandfather, young Freddy Freeman was injured in a fight between Captain Marvel and his nemesis Captain Nazi. While his grandfather died in the collateral of the conflict, Freddy was injured, crippled for life due to a spine injury. Soon after, Captain Marvel took Freddy to the Rock of Eternity, where he was blessed with the powers of the one who saved him.

New powers in hand, Freddy initially sought revenge against Captain Nazi, only for Mary Marvel to talk him down. Various interpersonal conflicts (including his affection for Mary) led to Freddy taking some time away from the Marvel Family, leading him to the Titans and eventually the Outsiders. When Billy had to step up and take over the role of the Wizard Shazam, Freddy was in line to take the mantle of Captain Marvel, eventually joining the Justice League as well.

I think a few have said they have the mini here, and I do as well. Others are welcome to put it up if I don't get around to it first. This is where we landed after LCW, and I'm feeling really good about the direction, sans concerns about coming up shy of 310. That is 100% the dead-on target to make a round 1000 with the other two Marvels. I could see ticking up the life healing from Apollo and his defense if necessary.

Its a lot of text, but I have checked that it is shorter than some of our longest, so more looking to tick down text-wise rather than up.

For Solomon and Mercury, when does the movement happen? Immediately when they choose him or after they use the power? And SAs are technically special powers, should he get to move after being targeted for those?

The intent is immediately when chosen, to potentially avoid the ability.

If he's Captain Marvel Jr. can we rename Mary to officially be Mary Marvel? That's always bothered me!

If we're not putting together all six letters, I don't think we should feel obligated to ape Mary's "just the names of the gods" power style. Like, I'd call the first one "SPEED OF MERCURY" and the second one "HEALING OF APOLLO" and take after the original design more. Not quite sure about LIEUTENANT MARVEL as a power name for a "here's what happens when he's NOT hanging out with the Marvel Family" either.

If we're looking to tick down I'd trim the Magical Defense stuff from his speed power, and maybe just pick Titan or Interloper, which lets us streamline that first power a lot.

I'd like to keep Titan and Interloper both around here.

I like the overall direction. I think points have got to be close to where you want them. Points, defense, and the amount you heal with the Apollo power are things you could tweak to hone in on 310. As is the calculator estimates anywhere from high 200s to mid 300s, so I think you're in the right range.

Yeah, in the 90s... before and after that she was Mary Marvel! She's spent more time being officially named Lady Shazam than she has Captain Marvel! (I might just do a Golden Age version at some point, actually, when she had goddesses instead of gods and no "shared power" stuff.)

I do like swapping the names to be more in line with Billy, so long as that doesn't give us too much text.

I like keeping both classes here, as lets be honest, nobody is gonna do a Titans specific or Interloper specific version as well. Will there be a Freddy II? Yeah probably if they ever give me Eugene, Pedro, and Darla I'll be right on that.

I do want to keep the Magical Defense callout as long as possible to keep that similar aesthetic with the other two, but Ill live if we have to lose it in the end. I'd almost lose the free disengage on it first.

Maybe drop the OM requirement from his healing? As a once per game thing that already needs you to win initiative that's probably not a balance issue.

You can trim a little text by giving him blanket disengage and moving that to the front of his Mercury power. Probably not too imbalancing?
