I did finally read the mini comic with those two and He-Ro, though, that was supposed to be part of a reboot that never took off.

We're onto She-Ra in the mini comics now, which is good, because I'm not sharp at all on that part of the universe.

Quick writeup for a Marvel Vs. Capcom Spidey. He shows up in the 2nd issue of the 2015 Spider-Verse.

SPIDER VERSE : WEB BALL
Before moving with Spider-Man, you may use this power. Choose an enemy figure within 4 clear sight spaces of Spider-Man, and roll a combat die. If you roll a shield, that figure may not be moved for the rest of this player turn.

SPIDER STING SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 1. Attack 4.
Figures that cannot move roll one fewer defense die against this special attack. After using this attack, if you inflicted one or more wounds or rolled at least 3 skulls, you may attack one additional time.

MAXIMUM SPIDER
Instead of attacking normally, you may use this special power. Choose a figure within 4 clear sight spaces, and roll an unblockable attack die. If you inflict a wound, place Spider-Man adjacent to the chosen figure. Once per game, after placing Spider-Man with this special power, you may attack the chosen figure up to 3 times with Spider-Man's normal attack.

All 3 powers are special moves of his in the games. Web Ball is a ranged move that completely stops the opponent from moving. Spider Sting is essentially Ryu/Ken's Shoryuken, but has a 2nd, downward hit. Maximum Spider is his ultimate, he just kicks the brakes off of someone.

Does he not actually ever use his webs to swing around?

He does, it's straight up called Web Swing in game. No web swinging in the 6 comic panels he shows up in though. The 3 powers I put are probably his most memorable specials in the context of MvC, and they get used in the comic.

Well I'd definitely give him Swing Line then and probably drop Web Ball, that power is going to do nothing in a lot of your matchups and even when it is good only works 33% of the time.

Web Ball is easy enough to adjust (do a skull instead of a shield, D20, whatever) but I can get behind dropping it for Swing Line and maybe adjusting Spider Sting a bit.

Well Web Ball does combo with the SA at least.

I wonder if Maximum Spider could be the "Web Swing" power? Like it more-or-less covers that ground now, and having the whole thing be once per game is super meh. Like you give up a turn to have a 50/50 shot at a wound and if you miss that you get nothing? Pretty weak sauce power.

What about like:

So its always 'Combat Web-Swing' and then once per game you can follow it up with a beat down.

That's REALLY slick SW, I like that a lot. I'd probably change it to just "instead of attacking normally" but really dig it besides that.

It looks like Spider Sting would affect the Marro Hive, since it can't move. It should also affect figures held in place by the Gladiatrons and Major X17.
