Here's a cool little thing I found while rumaging through the boards regarding proxies: Whenever your unit dies (lets say you los a blue coat) you then take that dead figure, and use it to replace a proxy unit (redocaot) still in your starting zone, or else where on the board. At the end of the match, the field should look like the actual unit was fighting the whole thing. I'm not sure if you do it already, but it's pretty cool.

That is what I have been doing so far, you really don't see many of the proxied units besides the very beginning of the game.

Here we go, this will be the last report for a few days, but then there will be a little treat to vote on.

Anyway, here were the armies:

Brian: Minions x2, Cyprien, Sonya, Zetacron and Isamu


A_Train: Sentinels x2 (proxied with Einar Imperium) and Bluecoats x 4 (proxied with redcoats)





Here we go. The battle starts with some slow movement from the Minions and the Sentinels. It is in round two before the battle is engaged.
The bluecoats strike first, firing a single wound onto Zetacron.


Cyprien enters to make the save, and kills a single militia man. The vampire lord takes two wounds for his troubles.


The Minions engage as well, but the valiant forces are too strong. Cyprien takes another 3 wounds while a Minion on the far side is killed.




Zetacron takes a deadly shot to eliminate another bluecoat.



Zetacron falls in a heap as the pesky bluecoat on the side takes a shot to finish him off.


Cyprien regains a little health by killing another bluecoat.


The Sentinels of Jandar enter the fray, slaughtering one of their Minion rivals.


The adventurous 4th Mass. soldier to the side takes a pot shot at Sonya, hoping to eliminate Cypriens bonus, and puts one wound on the vampire lady.


The brave bluecoat is brought to an end as the Minions surround him.



Cyprien Chill touches another Sentinel, healing even more.


But the bluecoats still finish him off, which also causes Sonya to die of heartbreak.



Skipping Cypriens turn, the Bluecoats rain fire down on the Minions until they are eliminated.


A remaining Minion slays a Sentinel from elevation (Oh noes! Proxied Sentinels!). A blue coat falls as well.



Even on elevation, the Minion can't survive through WTF.


The final Minion relentless continues his assault.





A couple bluecoats stand their ground, and eventually prevail over the minion.


Now they just have to deal with the pesky Utgar Assassin, who loves slicing down Jandar troops.



And after two bluecoats fall, an elevated one takes a shot that Isamu fails to Vanish, and cannot block.



A_Train's iron fist of justice continues!

I don't have another match to post right now, but we're having an 8 man tournament this weekend. I am hoping to at least record the semi finals and finals for voting purposes.
For now, I'll post a bit of stats on the competitors so you can familiarize yourself with them. You're not expected to vote yet, but this is just a taste of who is competiting in our tournament (Called, Herocup 5. Herocup being the trophy we compete for, and 5 because...it is the fifth tournament)

Multi-time Herocup Champion (1 and 3)
Winningest Herocup competitor
Does not use Q9 (One time, ever)
Tends to win big (win it all) or lose big (finish in the bottom few)

B_Train:
Has been a Herocup finalist before (Herocup 2)
Tends to depend on bigger, expensive hitters (Favorites include Jotun and Braxas)
Youngest competitor (11), and sometimes lacks the strategy of adults.

Brian:
A bit unknown in Herocup competition but was eliminated in the first round of Herocup 2 (By B_Train)
Previously thought to be weak in singles competition, has recently gone on a 7game win streak.
Known for being a coward, and retreating often, or refusing to move out of highpoints.

Chazz:
Has never made it to the finals of a Herocup Tournament
Was disgraced after Herocup 3 for using 575 points in a 500 point tourney (and still losing)
Distracts (select) opponents with copious amounts of trash talk (before and during games)

Pounder:
Only made an appearence at Herocup 1, but performed above average defeating several more experienced players
At a disadvantage now, having not played since Herocup 1
Not knowledgeable of a lot of units

Matty G
Never won a tournament match until Herocup 4, where he went undefeated to win the Cup.
Dependant on Q9
Boyish good looks.

Newguy
Winner of Herocup 2, and finalist in Herocup 1 and 3.
Frequently depends on Cyprien, and thus, the 20d.
Emotionally fragile.

Patrick:
Solid player, made the finals of Herocup 4.
A regular Q9 user.
Bad moves are called "Straight up Pat Moves"
