Actually, that is a very interesting question. They are very different characters but at the end of the comic you learn that Six-Gun is actually just a plot point in the mind of the main character. A plot point that was based on a character in a book the protaganist had read during his time as a librarian.

Spoiler Alert!

R1: Both teams move, with Robot carrying Blob first, then ordering 6-Gun to attack Bats, and Bats Evasive Strikes him twice. Bats attack 6-Gun for one more wound.

R2: Kate attacks 6-gun but misses, and Dick misses Robot. 6-Gun misses Kate. Kate Flash-Bangs Robot, and grapples over to him. She deals 2 damage, and Dick deals 3, killing Robot! Bats misses 6-Gun. 6-Gun engages Kate but misses his hand cannons.

R3: 6-Gun hits Kate for 2 wounds with his normal attack from height. BAts and Tim both engages 6-Gun and both miss. Blob, on height, engages Dick and kills Kate. Bats Batarangs Blob for a wound, Blob disengages Dick to attack Bats but misses.

R4: 6-Gun Hand Cannons Tim and destroys him. Bats and Dick miss their attacks (With Bats being stuck by Blob). Blob attacks Bats but is Evasive Struck. Few more missed attacks this round.

R5: Dick hits 6-Gun for a wound. 6-Gun misses both his attacks on Dick (Not even rolling any skulls), but both Bats and Dick then fail to roll any skulls either. Dick dodges all of 6-Gun’s attacks.

R6: Bats hits Blob for a wound, and Dick finishes off 6-Gun! Blob rolls 4 skulls, and Bats whiffs, falling in a single hit! Blob then hits Dick for 3 wounds!

R7: Pure luck dice-fest. Just waiting for someone to whiff first, with both figures being so durable. Blob finally comes out on top after an extra round or two.



Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Blob with 4 wounds.

R1:Solovar inspires the apes, allowing them to move up faster than usual. Iceman ices a warrior that got a bit too close. 6-Gun misses Iceman, but two Warriors engage him, dealing 2 wounds. Cyclops Optic Blasts two Warriors, killing them both! 6-Gun grabs height, and since Cyclops moved away from Prof X to position his blast, he takes two full hand cannons to the face and dies.

R2: Jean misses a throw and attack, and Iceman deals a wound to 6-Gun. 6-Gun hits Jean for a wound, then the apes swarm her and tear her apart. Iceman kills a warrior and Beast moves up. 6-Gun moves around Iceman for a shot at Prof. X, and he blocks a two skull roll with his shield, ending the turn. Iceman glides over the apes, but misses at his chance to hurt Solovar. Beast also misses 6-Gun. 6-Gun disengages Beast (Taking a wound) to engage Prof X, dealing 2 wounds with his guns. The Apes then tear apart Iceman and deal a wound to Prof X.

R3: Beast hits a crazy lucky roll and kills 6-Gun! The Warriors tear apart Angel, since Prof X is too nervous to break his shield. Beast kills two apes! Igor moves up, hitting Beast for a wound. A Warrior attacks Prof X, prompting him to use his shield. Beast kills another ape. Igor casually walks up to Prof X and ends him. THe Warriors hit Beast for 2 wounds.

R4: Igor and the last warriors kill Beast.



Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Solovar with 0 wounds, Igor with 0 wound, and two Gorilla Warriors remaining. .

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
His guns are super fun, decently swingy but they feel really nice. He has a massive 6 attack if you want that bit of reliability. He feels a bit too good, in my opinion. I think going up 20 points or so would be better. The gorilla army I played in my second game was BRUTAL, and with 6-Gun leading the charge, along with Solovar’s boost, the X-Men could not keep up with their momentum. And while most of the squads died, Solovar is a decent clean up figure himself, and he was unscathed.



GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
In general I love him. He’s a decent solid bruiser with very durable stats, making him a very “safe” feeling figure. Again, he feels a bit TOO safe at 230, but especially when you put him in a gorilla army. The additional move and attack makes him scary. Very cool and fun to play though.

Thanks for the tests! So it seems 250 is probably a safer cost @Lord Pyre , @Yodaking ?

Yeah, 230 seems good in general, but him with Solovar and the warriors is really good, so 250 would break that up.

Yeah, with Pyre's tests confirming my own experience I would for sure say bump up the points by 20 if not making any changes. If you are hesitating to go higher on points, then dropping life or defense would be my suggestion. Not sure if that would be enough though, as with the GCW bonding screen you can prevent him from being attacked at all for a while.

I'm fine with 250, it gives the Simians a good ranged option. If there are no competitve concerns I propose a vote for final editing.

EDIT* Whoops, we probably want another set of tests. I'm fine moving on but I imagine others will want to make sure 250 isn't too expensive.

I'm fine with just moving at 250. It's not a mechanically complicated design by any means.

I'd feel better about voting after we see him lose a game, he's 4-0 @230. 250 may indeed bring him into balance, but I'd feel better about voting if we had a set of tests where he lost at least once. If he wins twice at 250, I'd start to wonder if the price shouldn't go higher depending on how close the wins were.

Would rather see a stat adjustment. Should he really be a 250+ point figure?
