I didn't build the map, but Zelrig can barely peak over the highest point of the 3-hex rock when he's on the same level and adjacent to it, so, since the spot I think your worried about is 2 spaces away and 4 levels lower, I don't think that he'll be able to hit the other start zone in one OM from there.

If you have Braxas you can use her as a proxy-her eyes are at the exact same height as Zelrig's.

Huh, go figure (please disregard the pun). As it turns out, my Braxas that I had was lost about a year ago when I let one of my younger siblings play with it. Any of the other dragons I have, though.

My main concern isn't straight through the rocks, but a bit more to an angle, where some of the edges of the start zone might be visible.

Speaking of maps and instructions and-nah, never mind. That was a terrible segue. Anyway, two new maps today:

Shadow Crossing

Requires: 1 BftU, 1 RttFF

No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get a good picture of this map that really captured how good it looks (well, how good I think it looks; you're entitled to your own opinion). This is one of those maps that pretty much just built itself, and it's a fun map, despite its size. The "shadow crossings" provide a fun effect (affect?) for the map.

Mountain Spring-AB

Requires: 1 RotV

Probably one of my favorite computer games I play is Guild Wars for several reasons that I won't get into now. However, one of the PvP scenarios in it is called Alliance Battles, or AB, and I thought it would go pretty well with Heroscape. The main idea is to control shrines (in this case, seven hex grass tiles) to gain points. Specifics are included in the download. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Also to be noted, I checked the concern killercactus brought up about the defense glyph on Sea Arch and decided he was right; it gave too much of an advantage to whoever got there first, so I've changed the glyphs to two random ones. I should hopefully be updating more consistently from now on. I just ran into a slow period. I've got another map in the queue that should be good to go soon.

Risk Road:

I don't know how much the name of this map will pertain to other players, but in most of the games I played on it, I always seemed to be making some large risk or other; rushing out to snag high ground, trying to stop enemy units with only a few of my own. Sometimes risks were rewarded, sometimes I was crushed, but I've had a lot of fun on this map, especially with the ladders (one of my favorite parts).

And a map I made a while ago, but finally got around to uploading:

Subterranean Standoff:

First thing to remember about this map is that treasure glyphs are used. To save trouble on traps, I have just randomly place two glyphs face up, but if you want to throw in your own traps, feel free. Other than that, this is just a small, simple map I made for fun while trying out builds with 1 BftU. It's not game-changing, but it's fun. Enjoy.

I also built a big team battle map. I should have it uploaded by next week.

It took longer than I expected, but here's the team map I mentioned:

Three Fronts

Requires: 1 RotV, 2 BftU, 2 RttFF

This map I used to try to accomplish a few different goals. One was a nice, spacey team map for large epic battles (with continuous reinforcements, no less). At the same time, I wanted to try to combine three different battlefields into one, so 1v1 battles could take place in one of three different areas, if desired (or even three 1v1 battles in each area going at the same time, though I haven't tried that yet). This is the map that resulted, and it's worked well for all the uses I needed it for. Treasure Glyph and Glyph spaces are suggested, but feel free to alter it as you like. Also, for start zones, I usually use the first three rows of each area, but are also open to change.

I like Risk Road a lot. Looks fun though it looks irritating at the beginning of the game cause its all single hex access points.

FloodPlains

This is a pretty basic yet fun map. Although I like the map, I'm not sure it carried across my original idea as well as I wanted it too, so there may be a v2 of this later on.

Interception

Requires: 1 SotM, 1 RttFF

This is another one of my favorite maps (I think I say that a lot). What I really like about this one is the immediate choices needed, from placing to the first round. Do you intercept the enemies advance force? Do you send reinforcements to your own advance force? The choices abound and the small map allows for quick gameplay.
