Re: Tournament Armies Played

I finally turned my downward spiral around, so I updated my entry.

Quote:
Dallas Team Tournament 2008:
Army = Q9, Kaemon Awa (Rodriquez) / Braxas, Rats x2, & Isamu (me) (600 pts)
Loss to Junge Roman and his ding dang Valguard!
Results 2-2

Richardson Open - April 2008:
Army = Deathwaker 9K, Deathwalker 8K, Zettian Guards, Rats x4 (500 pts)
Loss to Dignan and Dignan's friend, Anthony.
Results 2-2

Modular Map Tournament - June 2008:
Army = K.Awa, Nakita, Krav, Marro Warriors, Zetacron (450 pts)
Loss to R˙chean & Funrun; win over Piherculis.
Results 2-2

Dallas National Heroscape Day 2008:
Army = Braxas, Deathreaversx3, Airborne Elite, Krav Maga (540 pts)
Losses to Rodriquez, Tmac2200, and Dignan.
Results 2-3

North Texas Shootout 2008:
Army = Marro Drones x 4, NeGokSa, & Marcu (310 pts)
This was a small multi-player tournament where you scored points for the figures you took out. Dignan's friend, Anthony drove me absolutely bonkers with his "unusual" style of play. I played three 3-player matches and won one, came in second, and lost one to come in 4th place (out of six).
Results 1-2

Dallas Team Tournament 2009:
Army = Grimnak, Nerak, & Heavy Gruts x2 (BroInLaw) / Q-9, Raelin, & Isamu (me) (600 pts)
Loss to LongHeroScaper and his brother and wins against Rodriquez/Rym, GladDragon/AnubianWolf88, and NinthDoc/Son
Results 3-1

Richardson Open - April 2009:
Army = Sir Gilbert, Knights x3, MassLine x2 (455 pts)
Loss to BroInLaw and wisinger, Wins against Tmac2200, DiceMaster's friend, and wisinger.
Results 3-2

Houston Elite Command Showdown - March 2009

Army = Sir Gilbert, Knights x4, MassLine x3 (595 pts)
Loss to a Zelrig army by points when time was called. Win against Sweetcurse.
Results 4-1 (Came in first by points.)

DFW Wacky Tounament-3 Pack Draft - 2009

Army = Ninjas of NW & Kozuke Samurai / Alastair, Saylind, Concan, DW7000, Johnny Sullivan / Guilty, Deadeye Dan, James Murphy, Tagawa Samurai

Loss to Dignan & CheddarLimbo. Wins against Rym & Aahzmandius.
Results 2-2

Dallas National Heroscape Day 2009:
Army = Zelrig, Stingers x 5, Isamu (540 pts)
Wins against wisinger, BroInLaw, and Dignan.
Results 6-0

I am 47-23-1 overall for 66% win rate.

eMCee Tournament Armies Played

Okay, I'll play along ... I took my 12yr old son to his first tournament and, due to an odd number of players, stepped in to play so there wouldn't be any BYEs. I came unprepared, so, I threw together a gimic army of "anything-I-could-find-with-wings-in-my-sons-bucket-plus-Archers"

Once I started playing I got hooked, and hope to compete again soon. So ...

Dallas National Heroscape Day 2009:
Army = Minions, Protectors, Cyprien, Sonya, AubrienArchers, Isamu
Losses to Rodriquez, Fencerjared, Tmac2200; Wins against Sweetcurse, ?Ryan?
Results 2-3

I am 2-3 overall for 40% win rate.

Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. The Force shall free me.

[quote=R˙chean;438672]I have participated in 38 tournaments dating back to my first one in February 2006. I have traveled to different cities and played a variety of different people. The following is a break down of my performance, armies, played, and notable opponents.

Army = MWs, Krav, Tagawa, MBS, ROTV Raelin (400 pts)

Friday Win-a-wave GenCon 2006:
Army = Krug, Saylind, Krav, MWS, MBS (400 pts)
wins versus NWOJedi, Joah
Results 3-0

Thursday Win-a-wave 2007:
Army = Syvarris, K.Awa, Krav, 2xReavers (400 pts)

Re: Tournament Armies Played

I updated my post, with my win in the Skirmish. The main special rule is that you got 475 if you had no ranged units, but 405 if you had any range at all.

Played Grimnak, Nerak, Raelin, 3x Heavy Gruts, and Isamu, going 5-0. I never once activated Isamu, or even had him get attacked all day.

Battle Report

Now, I've also updated my playing style blog entry, which shows how I do with and against different units.

I can tell you that Superesenwein won the Pestered in Westford tourney, 5-0.

I lost to him in game 4 by 15 points! With partial card scoring in play, a wound on Taelord would have been another 36 points in my favor, while if I lost one less Knight I would have gained 17.5 and still won. Darn those Marro and their Knight-killing ways!
