Clear Line of Sight refers to seeing any part of the figure's sculpt. So the distinction is important. |

Re: Public Design Post
These guys will be ridiculous with Civilians. They will basically get all the Civilians powers for free because they are citizens.

Ya... They seem a little bit too weak in my opinion, they are only 2/2 (3/3 when all figs are human) which isn't very fantastic. Plus they are a 2 fig squad, not to great as well. I think a 3 man Unique squad would be a lot better, and maybe up their attack and defense by 1.

Re: Public Design Post
A little weak? I am not sure you realize the power they gain from Civilians, multiple movement and attack capabilities.
Move 8 figures and attack with any 4, every turn, plus an additional attack die,(bumping them to 4), plus Panic, all for one 45 point Civilian squad. Though at 100 points, that may be OK. It just feels like too much. Another two figure 100 point squad is the Hawkmen and it does not seem like they should be on the same level as the Hawks. I agree though that a Unique Squad may be the way to go if three powers are wanted, otherwise they need to be trimmed back a bit. Clear Line of Sight = Being able to target the figure's Hit Zone (i.e. the red part of their sculpt). Clear Sight = Being able to see any part of the figure's sculpt, including their grayed out non-hit zone areas. When you use the words "target" or "targeting" or when you use attacks, which always require "targeting," the default is to require clear line of sight on non-adjacent targets. Certain powers, of course, allow exceptions to this. The thing that figures such as Cyclops do, is they choose spaces to affect, so it becomes irrelevant as to whether they have clear line of sight or even clear sight on the affected figures. If the figure is on the chosen spaces, that's enough. Special attacks that choose spaces to affect are of the rare type that do not require targeting. Make sense? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Would I want it to be everything I love...sure...but that's just not realistic so I'm going to focus on finding things that will make me unhappy and work on fixing those. |

Re: Public Design Post
Glad I could help.
Edit: I'm even 99% sure that's all actually right! C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Wow, that helps a lot. I guess that makes Cyclops another good counter for Mastermind as well.

Iron Man (Space MK I)
[spoiler] Iron Man Tony Stark Human Unique Hero Explorer Arrogant Life - 4 Move - 6 Range - 5 Attack - 4 Defense - 7 Repulser Beam SA Same as MK 4, no need to repeat it Orbital Strike Special Attack Attack - 6 Range - Special Instead of moving and attacking with Iron Man, if there is at least two revealed order markers on this card, you may use Orbital Strike special attack. Choose a space on the battlefield within clear sight of Iron Man, all figures on and adjacent to that space are affected by this special attack. Roll attack dice once for all figures, all affected figures roll defense dice separately. This special may not be used to attack figures under overhangs and may only be used once per round. Life Support System Instead of attacking with Iron Man you may remove 2 wound markers from this card. You may only use this special power once per round. I thought I'd post my Iron Man space armor, since it's been getting a lot of attention on the nominations forum. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be awesome, I am particularly looking for a power to replace the Repulsor rays SA, to make him a bit more unique. |
