C3G PLAYTEST FEEDBACK FORM

NAME OF THE TEST UNIT Solovar

- THEME TEST/ Check to see if there are any powers or stats on the test unit card that does not accurately reflect the theme or likeness of what the character would and could do. Also consider destructible objects, and whether or not this characters powers should affect them.

- MIRROR TEST/ Check to see if the unit were played against itself, if there would be any loops that would upset the balance of the Game.

- BONDING TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing Bonding abilities to make sure there are no continual Bonding possibilities that do not stop appropriately or do not stop at all. This is to prevent loops in Bonding.

- SYNERGIES TEST/ Compare the unit card with all possible currently existing synergies to make sure there are no factors that could break the game by making any unit too powerful or too weak.

- What should be the unit's point value? 230-240?
- Give a brief overview. Solovar never took a turn, but his Inspiration proved to be really useful to the GCWs.

Units: Solovar (210), Gorilla Grodd, Gorilla-Man, Gorilla City Warriors x3 (970) VS Kingpin, Winter Soldier, Absorbing Man, Hired Guns, Black Mask and 1 Bodyguard (965)

Solovar was Winter Soldiers Mark. (In retrospect, not the best option)

Gorillas led with the GCWs and Gorilla-Man. Gorilla-Man only killed one Hired Gun before he got taken out by them. The Hired Guns killed a few GCWs before going down but they didn't last very long. I then Absorbed Kingpin's defense with Absorbing Man. Absorbing Man went out and got caught by a group of GCWs with Grodd in tow. Absorbing Man didn't last long but he managed to take a few GCWs out with him. Winter Soldier then moved on the Ice under bridge to go after his Mark, while Kingpin and Black Mask fought Gorillas in the Criminal's SZ. Winter Soldier got cut off by a couple of GCWs, but he managed to kill them and get to his Mark. In the same round that Winter Soldier killed Solovar, Kingpin and Black Mask fell so the Gorillas won with Winter Soldier at full health still sitting on his card.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Gorilla Grodd and 2 Gorilla City Warriors.

- Does it pass, Yes or No? Pass
- What should be the unit's point value? 240 points looks good to me right now.
- Give a brief overview. Solovar didn't do much, but it took Hawkgirl and Red Tornado to take him down. That alone makes him worthwhile in an army.

Units: Solovar (210), Gorilla Grodd, Gorilla-Man, Gorilla City Warriors x3 (970) VS Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Hawkmen x2, Atom, and Red Tornado (1000)

Spoiler Alert!

So I led out with Hawkgirl carrying Atom to take out Solovar, she landed 4 wounds on him before she was surrounded and killed by GCWs. Atom survived and hopped on Grodd's card. I then sent Red Tornado after Solovar and he fought through GCWs and Grodd to get there, killing 2 GCWs and finishing off Solovar before he fell. Now Hawkman is pumped up from Hawkgirl dying, so he went out and started tearing GCWs to bits. Grodd mind controlled Hawkman into killing a squad of Hawkmen and Hawkman turned and ended up killing Grodd in one turn leaving just 1 GCW and Gorilla-Man with 2 lives VS 1 squad of Hawkmen. The Hawkmen fell in one turn to Gorilla-Man's Machine Gun.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Gorilla-Man with 3 wounds and 1 GCW.

- Give a brief overview. Solovar's Negotiation really helps the GCWs pound someone.

Units: Solovar (240) and Gorilla City Warriors x3 (615) VS Kang x 2 and Chronos (615)

Spoiler Alert!

This game lasted barely 3 rounds. Basically, Solovar would remove an OM and the GCWs would have 2 uncontested turns often resulting in another lost OM when one of the Kangs died. I lost both Kangs and then Chronos fell. Not a very good matchup for this OM intensive army.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Solovar without any wounds and 5 GCWs.

- Give a brief overview. Poison Ivy was a total boss on this map. I had her on the rised area between 2 Evergreen Trees and the Great Evergreen Tree and she whooped butt.

1st round, Poison Ivy rolled an 18 for Pheromone Seduction and took over Solovar. Poison Ivy used her Plant Animation to kill 6 Gorilla City Warriors herself. I only ever put OMs on her and Green Arrow.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Poison Ivy with 2 wounds, Solovar with 3 wounds, Green Arrow, Batman and Vixen without any wounds.

Thanks for the quick initial! I'm about to run a test on Armor for you in fact.

Looking at everything, Solovar isn't more than a pebble next to a bunch of boulders on his own. He was designed to be a team player, a leader for a group. And that's what I want him to feel like in army tests, real games. By the looks of the first army test, I would assume he feels that way, which is great. He doesn't even need to take a turn to inspire and lead on his fellow Simians to victory and glory. Even if he perishes, his fellow Simians feel he served his time rightfully and greatly contributed to their success. The Simians mourn the loss of such a great individual, as he has led their force without any violence at all. He leads through vigilance and peace. The Simians see these traits and are inspired to fight harder, longer, stronger, for their beloved leader, and in his name they shall prosper and perish in all good will.

All right kids, time for bed! Maybe I'll have more for you tomorrow night. I'd say 230-240 is looking good so far, but the second army test should be able to thin that out.

Second army test added. I want to run a couple of smaller ones tomorrow with just Solovar and a few Squads of GCWs but he's feeling like a solid 240 with his synergies. +1 defense makes the Simians pretty tough and +1 move never hurt anyone.

Would you like to run the extra tests? If you're confident in 240, then I don't deem them necessary.

You can give pre-yeas alike, but Tcglkn's going to run a couple of smaller army tests before we move on.
