I really like the direction of assigning figures to classic generals. Looks really good so far. I'd agree with one comment made earlier about shifting Radagast to Aquilla. Seems like he should have a different general than Gandalf, he's kind of the oddball wizard of the three. I've heard D&D fans explain Aquilla as chaotic good alignment. Love seeing Saruman as Vydar.

Having Lotr generals sounds interesting, but I don't understand the signifigance in terms of synergies.

EDIT: Example, if you wanted to have a power that added attack dice against figures who follow Utgar. Would you have to write in figures who follow Sauron in the text as well?

Xorlof explained the double-generals somewhere. The idea is that for the purposes of all powers, Sauron = Utgar, Morgoth = Valkrill, etc. and we produce two cards--one with LotR HoME art and generals, and one with Classic Art. In this way, people who want to play with LotR generals can do so without messing up synergies or gameplay. Its basically just a flavor thing.

The voting on whether Good Pig will become an member should take place in the voting thread. We also need to have a list of the voting members in the OP of this thread and I'd say the Voting Thread to avoid confusion. For example Faure has stated that he is not a voting member, but he's still voting on adding Good Pig.

I agree. This is especially true with people who have just joined Heroscapers.com.

But since our current rules state that we have to vote within 48 hours, for Good Pig I suggest we keep the current rules and change them afterwards.

I wouldn't construe a thumbs-up endorsement as a vote.

The voting on whether Good Pig will become an member should take place in the voting thread.

In the spirit of consistency, I think you should proceed on that line.

If you mean Sauron, then yes. If you mean Morgoth or the other Valar, then I'd suggest no (at least at this point).

Gents, to the best of my knowledge, nobody's actually voting on Good Pig joining us yet, since this isn't the voting thread. The rule in my above post states that we have an opportunity to discuss the applicants history, credentials, etc., before we actually vote. Such discussion takes place here, because it's the General Discussion Thread.

My bad, the way a couple people worded it made me think you guys were voting. There has been many times where we've haven't voted in the Voting Thread so I just wanted to make sure.

Here's a rough draft, I'll probably forget some people.

• Jandar: Tar Minyatur, Elessar, Beor or Hurin.
• Einar: Eorl or Theoden
• Ullar: There's a lot of option, Finwe, Ingwe, Fingolfin, Finarfin, Thingol, Melian, Manwe or Orome
• Aquilla: Durin or Aule
• Vydar: Saruman
• Utgar: Sauron
• Valkrill: Morgoth

Would love to hear some other peoples thoughts.

After seeing your list, I'm seeing a potential issue with having alternate LOTR general versions of each card.

For instance it might be a nice theme to have a Hero add +1 defense to other figures who follow Ullar. If you were to narrow it down on the alternate version to say Finwe instead of Ullar you'd be narrowing the scope of that power quite a bit. Which would also mean that you'd have to test each version and assign points differently to each version. That sounds like a ton of work.
