Welp, with Shaolin flopping in the contest polls, I guess there's no reason to hold back the latest version.

I'm not actually a fan of the single hex heights (I have removed them for my games here at home). I think it skews the range vs. melee matchup more than it helps the melee vs. melee and range vs. range matchups but it has been requested by people smarter than me with less gameplay experience on the map. Alas.

This update also replaces the .pdf file so not sure how ARV will have to judge it. Honestly don't really care.

Anyways, if you made it past all my projection, hopefully you'll take the time to actually play the map and let me know what you think. Nothing is more valuable than outside experience for me and hands-on experience for you! I just recommend you remove the single hexes first.

Note: I don't recommend building the halves with the intent of combining them. It can be done but if you intend to use the full map, it will be much easier to just build Babylon as a whole.

Also, Babylon will be getting an update soon so that the road in the SZ matches the SZ road on the Scraps version.

I recommend duplicating the small ruin if you are concerned about the asymmetry caused by the ruins.

Yes Dysole was kind enough to update it for me.

Somehow even though my IRL nickname has been Sheep since well before 2010 (when I made my HSers account), I never used it as my online name until 5yrs or so after that.

Yes... I just have to remind myself when I do the pics, and even when I do, my muscle memory still types "heroscaper2010".

Great stuff! Let me know how it plays for you.

I’ve often used Valda for the Level 3 glyph in Lava Field and Dagmar for the Level 2 glyph on Sand, but you can use whatever feels right for you!

This means a lot MS! I do believe Shaolin Monastery has the most long term potential between my two contest submissions. I don’t expect any updates to the latest version below without outside gameplay feedback. I do think the map provides a, no pun intended, smoother melee vs. range experience without the level 5 single hexes though, so you are welcome to use it that way if you would like.
