Tonight I got to play (and lose) King of Tokyo twice. Then I played (and lost) Bohnanza. Had a fun time throughout.

They wooden bullets were a missed stretch goal, so I made my own out of dowel pins that someone on BGG found. We also use Heroscape tiles and Lego people and horses to liven it up. CatScaper never wants to sell the horse she breaks because of it.

We rounded out our game day yesterday with PACG:S&S and then started watching season 2 of Wakfu on Netflix.

Played some Machine Koro last night followed by about four tries to beat the first scenario on Legendary Aliens. Man that game is tough! Those nasty aliens come fast and furious at the end of the game. Would love to try again and beat it, fun game.

Ten hour game day get together last night with some party-gamer types. Managed to get in two games of Settlers of Cattan, one of Ticket to Ride, and about seven or so of the base set of Dominion.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Played a round of PACG after Pathfinder tonight. One of the PF guys wanted to try it, and my buddy and I were both wanting to try different characters, so we started a new "campaign." I am playing as Sajan, the monk, and really digging it.

I think I more said something along the lines of I'd never choose to play it over all the other great games available to me. They were not available to me in that situation. Instead, it was pretty much play Settlers or play Taboo. Blah.

If it's any consolation, I didn't find either game of Settlers particularly fun, and both did seem to drag foreeever.

I had to engage my audience in order to get them to try Dominion, though.

Yup. Playing [game you don't like] is better than not playing. That's how I end up playing Munchkin sometimes. Though I do draw the line at Monopoly, as I said last week.

Played more Pairs over the weekend. It plays fast and can accommodate 2-8, and it's just a deck of cards in a little box, so it's easy to tote around & have on demand. It's quite luck-dependent, by design. It's just a fun little way to pass some time, like we did with both kids & my father-in-law to entertain ourselves after lunch yesterday, before it was time for the Next Activity.
