Piledriver, Wrecker, and Thunderball all advance.
Starfire advances.
Wrecker advances but can’t hit Aqualad from range. Bulldozer advances.
Titans Go! Impulse rushes out, takes height on Wrecker, can’t hit on his first attack, so goes for a second attack, rolls 1 skull to Wrecker’s five shields, and dies. Rather than continuing the test, I decide to reroll this, noting that Impulse can definitely be reckless! This time Impulse puts four wounds on Wrecker in two extra attacks. Starfire engages Wrecker and hits him for a fifth. Nightwing advances, but can’t get in range.
Wrecker hits Starfire for three wounds from height. Bulldozer head butts Starfire and knocks her out.

Round 2: Initiative Wrecking Crew. Bulldozer KO’s Impulse when Impulse whiffs from height.
Impulse had OM1.
Piledriver advances. Wrecker hits a whiffing Nightwing for three wounds. Bulldozer tries headbutting Nightwing but it doesn’t land.
Titans Go! Raven engages Bulldozer on height, but can’t hit him. Aqualad engages Bulldozer and hits for two wounds. Nightwing finishes Wrecker from height.
Thunderball advances.
Raven takes three wounds from Nightwing and Soul Selfs one onto Bulldozer.

Round 3: Initiative Titans. Titans Go! Aqualad hits Bulldozer for a wound. Raven and Nightwing fail to hit him.
Bulldozer whiffs an attack.
Raven Soul Selfs a fifth wound onto Bulldozer.
Piledriver KO’s Nightwing from height. Thunderball fails an attack on Aqualad from height.
Nightwing had OM3.
Thunderball KO’s Aqualad.

Round 4: Initiative Raven. She KO’s Bulldozer from height.
Thunderball hits Raven for a wound, then Piledriver hits her for two, then they each fail attacks on her.
Raven wipes out her own round by Soul Selfing Piledriver.
Piledriver can’t hit Raven, but Thunderball does.
Raven lost her OM3.
Thunderball finishes Raven.

Unit Summary: Wrecking Crew rolls were hot enough here and Titans defensive rolls were cold enough for Wrecking Crew to win handily. Impulse feels OK in a Nightwing army, but I’m not sure it’s his strongest fit. He has big offensive potential but it can easily backfire as well.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Inflicted (4) wounds on (Wrecker (4)).
• IMPULSIVE FIGHTER: Used for (2) additional attacks and took (0) wounds (took 4 wounds before retcon).
• IMPULSIVE MOVEMENT: Taken out on a defensive whiff, so he never used it.

Robin grapples to height and fails an attack on a Gorilla City Warrior. Impulse advances, but can’t get into attack range.
Three Gorilla City Warriors advance. One engages Miss Martian and is immediately taken out by Hit Anything that Moves. Detective Chimp circles.
Robin engages a Gorilla City Warrior and uses Tactical Deduction, but can’t hit it. Wonder Girl advances.

Robin uses his Tactical Deduction, but whiffs an attack on Solovar. Impulse engages a Gorilla City Warrior on height, can’t hit him, then takes out two Gorilla City Warriors on two additional attacks.
Gorilla City Warriors advance. One fails an attack on Impulse, who backs up. Solovar takes a Hit Anything wound and then attacks Impulse, who defends and backs up.
Robin can’t hit Solovar from height. Wonder Girl flies forward and KO’s a Gorilla City Warrior. Two rounds in and Simians are down to one squad of GCWs and 4 Life Solovar.

Round 3: Robin reveals the “X.” Simians are inspired. Young Justice follow Cass’s attack plan. Initiative Young Justice. Robin uses his Tactical Deduction but fails an attack from height on Solovar. Miss Martian successfully throws Solovar into her, Robin, and Wonder Girl. She misses the unblockable and only one of three Hit Anything rolls hit, giving Solovar one wound. Miss Martian hits Solovar for three wounds to KO him.
Two Gorilla City Warriors fall trying to engage Wonder Girl and the final one falls to Counter Strike.

Unit Summary: A much smoother combination here for Impulse. He likes Robin as a turn bonder, of course, but he really likes Wonder Girl, who juices his triple attack and his ability to move in and out of engagement with Impulsive Movement powers Hit Anything That Moves. The Hit Anything rolls were hot here and Gorilla City Warriors just had no way around them. This is a really rough match up for them and they got steamrolled.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Inflicted (2) wounds on (Gorilla City Warriors (2)).
• IMPULSIVE FIGHTER: Used for (2) additional attacks and took (0) wounds.
• IMPULSIVE MOVEMENT: Good to make Gorillas keep chasing him and keep triggering Hit Anything that Moves.

Round 1: Wonder Woman sheds a JL Marker. Young Justice is following Cass’s attack plan. Initiative Young Justice. Miss Martian blazes ahead and tosses Superman, wounding him, missing the wound for Hit Anything, then failing to hit him with a boosted attack from height despite rolling 4 skulls.
Superman takes a swipe from Miss Martian and flies over, engaging both Kid Flash and WG Cassandra from height. Neither Hit Anything roll hits. Superman punches Cassandra for three quick wounds.
Impulse, even with Wonder Girl’s boost, can’t hit Superman from height, so he moves out of the way and lets Kid Flash move onto his spot on the ladder. Kid Flash punches Superman for one wound.
Superman punches out Wonder Girl Cassandra.
Donna Troy flies to height and lassoes Superman onto an ice space trapped on height disadvantage between her, Kid Flash, and Impulse. She feels Empathy and punches Superman for three wounds.
Superman one-shots Donna Troy.

Round 2: Wonder Woman sheds a JL Marker. Initiative Young Justice. Impulse punches out Superman from height. Batman takes the OM’s from Superman and Wonder Woman takes his JL Markers. Kid Flash runs to the center ladder.
Batman, from height disadvantage, one-shots a whiffing Kid Flash.
Miss Martian tosses Batman into lava, hitting the unblockable, and then he rolls a 3 for molten lava and dies. His Order Markers and JL Markers go to Wonder Woman.
Wonder Woman engages Miss Martian, but can’t hit her.
Miss Martian punches Wonder Woman for a wound.
Wonder Woman fails to punch back.

Round 3: Wonder Woman sheds a JL Marker. Initiative Wonder Woman. She punches Miss Martian for three wounds.
Impulse advances.
Wonder Woman KO’s Miss Martian.
Miss Martian had OM2.
Wonder Woman hits Impulse for two wounds from height.
Miss Martian had OM3.

Round 4: Wonder Woman sheds a JL Marker. Initiative Wonder Woman. She can’t hit Impulse from height.
Impulse moves to even height. He attacks but can’t hit. He attacks and inflicts two wounds. He attacks and takes two wounds and falls.
Wonder Woman bashes Lobo from height for three wounds.
Impulse had OM2.
Wonder Woman finishes Lobo.

Unit Summary: A big, swingy game. Cassandra had heat on her after last game, so Superman was a guided missile determined to take her out. He did, but it came at a big cost. Batman one-shot Kid Flash, then Miss Martian lava-dunked Batman. Wonder Woman, armed with JL Markers, managed to make a big comeback here, though it could’ve gone either way. Impulse got in some hits, but risked too much.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Inflicted (3) wounds on (Superman (1), Wonder Woman (2)).
• IMPULSIVE FIGHTER: Used for (2) additional attacks and took (2) wounds.
• IMPULSIVE MOVEMENT: The doubling shields saved him early against Wonder Woman.

Summary:
YJ won initiative a lot in the early rounds so Impulse had took advantage of his OM reveal on defense a lot. Wrecking crew hit a couple rolls early but they were used for moving up since no one was in range yet. Then they went dry for a while and it looked like they'd get steam rolled but then Thunderball and Bulldozer bounced back and forth for an epic 5 turn chain that made it close. It was compounded by the fact they won initiative that round and really jumped on Impulse to take him out with the opportunity but it ended up being too little too late as Robin outlasted Thunderball in the end.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Inflicted (2) wounds. Wrecker (1 - final one to KO Wrecker after Robin softened him up) and Bulldozer (1).
• IMPULSIVE FIGHTER: Used for (1) additional attacks and took (0) wounds (Didn't risk it but the one time due to the threat of WC's high defense).
• IMPULSIVE MOVEMENT: Helped out at least three times. And the thread of the power made him a huge target when initiative was lost.
• Damage Taken: Late in the game WC won initiative and Bulldozer charged him (took a wound from Cassie's HAtM) and gave him 2 wounds and Thunderball took LEA and HIT anything to finish him off in an epic chain that went on with Bulldozer doing major damage to Cassie and Thunderball hitting both Secret and Cassie with his big ball taking out Secret.

Summary:
In the first game my son made the comment "I wan't to take out the leader here but I don't know which one that is" in regards to the YJ. This game he came in with a idea of what he wanted to do. He knows how to run the core three well so he added in Changeling as a wound bank for Starfire and for the Python squeeze to deal with Impulse. Knowing that wounds weren't a bad thing for Changeling with his high life he pretty much took the role of chasing Impulse around and risking HAtM as he wanted wounds and just squeezing every chance he got. Changelings Porcupine Defense counter strike also was used more in this game than normal. Anytime I rolled well on attacks he'd turtle and low rolls would get counter struck. Still turned out to be a close game with YJ focusing hard and early on Starfire and then using Secret/Robin/Arsenal combo of defense reduction to get some damage on Nightwing.

• Damage Done (Normal Attack): Inflicted (2) wounds. All on Raven but several attacks on Changeling were blocked by Turtle and the lack of blanks made him unable to run away.
• IMPULSIVE FIGHTER: Used for (1) additional attacks netting 2 wounds on Raven and took (0) wounds.
• IMPULSIVE MOVEMENT: Helped out some but didn't get to roll defense much.
• Damage Taken: Raven SS him for 1 wound, Changeling Squeezed out two more and NW finished him off later.

Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Nightwing with 1/4 Life remaining and Changeling with 2/7 Life remaining

Played a third game just for fun with some Speedsters vs Rogues. I misplaced my notes and will add later but the Speedsters with Max not letting their defense get reduced wrecked them. I played Impulse differently and let him loose a bit more and he did significantly more damage than he took. I paired him with Wallace so the OM on Impulse wasn't a let down in comparison to the other Speedsters. So the kids tag teamed

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY:
I originally thought that he wasn't really integral here and was just there. But after thinking about it he really sets up a lot of Cassies Hit anything that moves. He didn't do a lot of damage but then I played him in a Speedster game and I was more aggressive with him I can see where he could work in some cases. Overall the YJ team was a lot of fun and I'll use him more aggressively in the future, not my usually playstyle.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
I like him even though my son got frustrated in the first game. He spotted the weakness quickly though and dealt with him after that. I hit a lot of rolls with Hit Anything in the first game and some of that was due to his mobility so that can't be discounted even though he did little else for me.

I think he is good at 140 points, after two really close games. The Impulsive Movement is a good alternative for Speed Dodge. It was annoying because I kept losing initiative so my only way to destroy him was getting Changeling next to him and doing the Python attack, and rushing him hard the first game when I did win initiative. He works really well with Cassie because he can break engagement and you’re forced to re- engage. I would leave him at the points he’s at.

I dig the design and agree with the feedback (limit to 3 attacks and keep an existing personality). Should be a nice addition to Titan builds. Makes me want to brainstorm a Kid Flash Bart as I have his mini as well.

It also might be more in line with past powers if the Superspeed callout was for not using Impulsive Fighter, rather than for not attacking.

CONSISTENCY CHECKLIST (SHORT FORM)

Consistency Concerns
Name and Identity
Verify character is named in a way that is clear, accurate and feels consistent with the way other characters are named.

Uniqueness and Type
Verify that the power text reflects the listed uniqueness and type, that the uniqueness fits the character, and that squad size is listed for squads.

Left Box
If the character's species, class or personality is reused, verify that the character feels thematically consistent with other figures that have that species, class or personality. If they are not reused, verify that there is no pre-existing species, class or personality that would make more sense.

Size and Height
Verify that the listed size and height are accurate. Standing the mini up next to a stack of tiles, and a few other minis of various sizes, is encouraged.

Super Strength and Flying
Verify that these special powers are present if they make sense, and not if they don't.

New Powers - Names
Verify that any new powers are not using power names identical to, or very similar to, pre-existing powers. Verify that any new powers are actually new and not old powers with new names.

New Powers - Effects
Verify that the effect and timing of all new powers is clear. Verify that any logical immunities, benefits, or weaknesses (whether those be necessary for thematic or mechanical reasons) are implemented: consider whether defensive powers that work against normal attacks should also work against special attacks, whether or not a power has an elemental component that some figures should resist, and whether or not unliving figures (such as Undead and Androids) should be affected.
