RttFF Beta, or rip off?
I was looking for RttFF online and I came across this.
Is this a Beta version, or just a rip off? |

I wish mine came with those trees , I don't care for the bridge though
These days you never really know for sure what is legit and what isn't anymore so I just had to check. |

I came across this not long ago and I figured it was a knock off. The bridge is all one piece and doesn't even look like it has a hexagonal shape on the end. I see this all the time with knock off Legos. They've become so comical that some people collect them due to the fact that some have colors that Lego doesn't offer.(purple sparkly armor and shield anyone? ) I guess it could be a really old prototype picture.
This is not the path I thought. This is not the place I sought. This is not the dream I bought, just a fever of fate I've caught. |

This is a packaging prototype released by Hasbro before the 2.5 sets were physically released. Here is the image for the "Orm's Return" set:

I ended up ordering mine from Fair Play Games http://www.fairplaygames.com/gamedis...sp?gameid=3114 It's still not cheap, but it's the cheapest that I could find.
Great trades with Onacara, Gypsy, SirGalahad, elltrain, generalgina, Concord, Just_a_Bill, LongHeroscaper, janus19390, and the very generous obfuscatedhippo. |

Well, it's not a rip off if you like the trees and you didn't buy it. I think it might have been a prototype.

Its a prototype photo, these were given out early and or by mistake to retailers for item descriptions etc... A site that uses an old inaccurate photo like this to sell their product is a sign of a site that does not have a clue or care what they are selling, or the quality of their service. Does any store these days though?
