Welcome to the site, DocBlizz!

Another easily overlooked piece of Heroscape grammar is the game's distinction between "line of sight" and "clear sight." Line of sight is used for attacking a non-adjacent figure (both normal and special attacks), and requires that the attacking figure be able to see the red hitzone of its target. Clear sight is used on some powers like Sonlen's Dragon Swoop, and only requires that the acting figure be able to see any part of its target.

That's VERY helpful! thank you! I wondered what clear sight meant (I just assumed that it was another term for line of sight) I also haven't ran into a situation where they were different, just been playing basic maps with not enough elevation 9 or any trees (I dont have any yet) to make a distinction from the two. Thanks for the heads up!
