This was a total turnabout. It looked for sure like Team 1 had it, but you jut can’t keep a good Slasher down. There was some really funky luck in this game, and Scott whiffing his Defying Death roll cost him big time.

In pretty much the opposite of last game, Mr. M pulled off a ton of Death Defies, keeping him alive for a really long time. Miss M tried to kite them, but the stats just weren’t in her favor.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: They feel pretty balanced. Scott literally lives or dies on the D20, so it might make sense to try him with some D20 boosters. But I don’t think he’s any crazier than Spider-Man who costs 30 points less. He’s also pretty good at holding onto Glyphs. Barda is tough and offers a surprising amount of strategy with her figure switching, but she’s nothing game-breaking. Her Rod SA is very powerful, but not a huge amount stronger than her normal attack.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Really feeling these designs! They act just like the characters should. Like I said, Scott feels a lot like Spider-Man; hard to pin down and bouncing all over the place. Barda has just enough tricks to be more than just a beatstick and that makes her a ton of fun. Really excited for the potential of using the Grappling power to tie together the Furies, and just to see these characters in C3G.

Round 1 – Armies advance, Donnie attempts to throw Scott in the water, wounding him. Scott and Barda however comeback and kill Donnie in one turn.
Round 2 – Barda takes a wound and Miracle takes 2. Miracle nearly goes down to Turtle power, but starts defying death already. Across the round, Casey Jones took 2 wounds from Cap, and Raph took 2 from Barda. Miracle gets two more wounds on Leo and Barda follows it up with 2 more wounds . (2 of Barda’s wounds this round are Grappling wounds.
Round 3 – Turtle power proves uneventful, only dealing 1 wound to Barda. Barda and Cap fail to wound, but Miracle puts two wounds on Raph. Casey gets a great hit on Miracle, who defies death again. Miracle kills Leo and Barda puts a wound on Mikey.
Round 4 – Cap kills Raph, Barda grapples and then kills Mikey, Miracle takes two attempts, but finally takes down Casey. Barda uses her Mega Rod to take the Skrull out at range.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Marriage Avengers win. 3 wounds on Miracle, 2 wounds on Barda, 0 wounds on Captain America.

Round 1 – She-Hulk jumps forward, dealing a wound to Constantine. Barda and Miracle converge on She-Hulk, with Barda dealing two wounds with Mega-Rod
Round 2 – Barda takes two wounds from She Hulk. Miracle sets her up dealing a wound, then Barda drops She-Hulk in to the water before finishing her off. Atom is killed by flame on. Barda manages to wound Torch in a grapple.
Round 3 – League fails to crack Mr Fantastic’s defenses. Thing kills Barda when she whiffs a defense roll, and Miracle takes two wounds from Flame On. Miracle gets 2 wounds on IW.
Round 4 – Constantine’s waking nightmare gets Martian unengaged, allowing them to gang up and kill IW. The Brave and the Bold manages to save Constantine from Flame On (fails the roll for Miracle). Constantine goes down to Iceman. Miracle makes one defy death roll against another flame on, but can’t keep up as a roll of 4 comes up short, even with Batman’s help.
Round 5 – Batman kills Torch and Mr F whiffs a defense roll. Batman starts hitting Iceman.
Round 6-8 – Thing takes out J’onn. Batman drops Iceman, and Thing finishes Batman.

Who won and how many wounds did they have? Fan 4 win. 3 wounds on Thing.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: These two are an absolute blast to play. They are moving all over the place, so it can be tough to nail them down and figure out who needs to be the target. They’ve got a lot flexibility, which is fun. Miracle is a bit swingy with his dice roll, but he can still get some good mileage, especially by setting up Barda for the big hits. Mega Rod is very nice to pull off, and Miracle really helps that happen.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Very excited for these two. They complement each other well and are a blast of 600 point pod. I do question how grappling works with the likes of Mr Fantastic or Blob. They don’t feel like they pair super well with the Justice League as it stands though. They don’t line up classes with Batman, and J’onn’s double turns are really only nice when one of the two drops. Superman may be a better partner.

The heroic trio started the game strong as Mister Miracle used Daring Escape to engage an approaching Blob on the first turn for some damage. Now locked down, Big Barda moved into help, but couldn’t amount to much with Mega-Rod. Toad and Avalanche moved up and with them Magneto and Storm, who were met by Superman on the cliff. Superman was well fended off by Lightning Tempest and Magneto’s throws, but his large attacks were too much after awhile. The duo in the meantime managed to end Blob finally and moved onto eliminate the other Outcasts one by one, though Mister Miracle did have a spell with death.
Who won and how many wounds did they have? Mister Miracle w/ 3 wounds, Superman w/ 4 wounds, and Big Barda unharmed.

Superman moves up first to set up for Heroic Duty, with Mister Miracle and Big Barda following. Storm approaches to lash lightning at Big Barda, but the cunning duo counter with some Grappling and a nasty Mega-Rod to kill Storm right away. Superman hunts Toad down in quick fashion, but Magneto goes whole hog and starts throwing people into Blob’s aura. Big Barda is taken out this way, and Mister Miracle follows not too long afterward. Magneto continues to roll for wounds on Superman while the Man of Steel picks away at Blob. Magneto is too slow, though, and Superman kills Blob. In a contest of champions, Magneto chokes hard a few turns in a row, allowing Superman to come out on top, barely. Avalanche wasn’t able to finish the job.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Big Barda and Mister Miracle pair well with a strong piece that can provide a passive bonus while also backing them up in a fight. Superman I was great for this purpose as he didn’t hog Order Markers away from the duo too often. The points felt pretty good, especially the distribution between them. Mister Miracle is more important for positioning but Big Barda is the offensive threat and brings more value.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Wow, fun powers! Daring Escape is really useful as, from my interpretation, it can get Mister Miracle out of situations like Blob’s aura. Defying Death can’t be relied upon, but the main purpose of Mister Miracle is to set up for Big Barda’s big whams. Mega-Rod feels great if you can set it up well, as does Apokoliptian Grappling, something Outlaw fans are already familiar with.

I'm kind of thinking we might want to push Barda up to 330 and bring Scott down to 270, as she's a lot more potent as a solo unit based on their records. Don't know if it will really make a difference but it would make him a bit more draftable solo. How do you feel about it @Ronin ?

Sounds like a minimal enough change to me. As long as it is equal in both directions, my yea stands.

I'd be okay with that, but I'm also okay with the current situation; Barda being a little more draftable without him and Scott being priced around running with her.

I’d want to see Scott as solo draftable as possible, just in case we wanted to do JLI synergy or something.

Hmm, I'm actually leaning a bit toward keeping it the same now - I figured there'll be enough New God synergy in the future that Miracle can have a niche there. Any other opinions leaning either way?
