Sorry, I didnt' get any pictures of Assassin's Creed. I was busy playing in those games and shocked myself (and probably others) by winning. At least I finally got a set of Gencon Dice .

Friday Pictures:

Pictures from events on Friday (4x4, Treasure Quest, and Day 1 of the Championship). Also a couple of other items -- the Kraken will be available from Auggies (limited number). The large Settlers of Catan map is a picture for my son (he likes the game).

Saturday Pictures

My son was able to go with me today, so first we spent a little time walking around checking out some other games. We were both glad WotC didn't take Heroscape down the My Little Pony or Smurfs line, but if they had... Also include a picture of some balloon "art", and one from the exhibitors hall. Then finally some pictures from the events: Championship Day 2, Heroes Only, Kid's Tournament, and General Wars.



























Since my daughter and little grand kids will coming in Sunday afternoon for a short visit (leaving Monday afternoon), I probably won't post pictures from Sunday until late Monday.

Sunday Pictures:

Only event on Sunday was the team tournament, so here are several pictures from that event. The two repainted wolfies were prizes for the team competition -- very nicely done. On my last trip through the dealer hall I stopped and took a picture of the Plaid Hat Games booth -- their booth was always busy. The last picture is from our "neighbors" (Star Wars Minis was set up next to Heroscape). They had the Hoth battlefield set up earlier and the death star trench was there on Sunday.

Thanks as always for posting these! (to say nothing of the heroic setup efforts)

My boys are years away from being able to attend Gencon, so the photos are as close as I'm going to get for now.

Of course, I probably shouldn't thank you TOO much. Last year one of your photos turned me on to Dwarven Forge, which has proven to be an expensive turn of events.
Ooh, cool Hoth setup! I wonder if that's for sale somewhere...

I always look forward to Retlaw's Gencon pictures each year. It's exciting to see so many games in action, and to try to put names to faces. Granted, it probably isn't nearly as exciting as, you know, actually being there.
