Buying a complete set of Flagbearers (for MSRP, no less) and only ever playing with three of them.

I thought everyone had counterstrike.

1.) Counting the double figure's head space and end space when moving on an elevation.
2.) Somebody just started doing normal attacks after special attacks and it went on for weeks ("I don't think you can attack again!...But I'm too tired to look it up in the rule book. Carry on my dear!"). 3.) Special? Normal? What's the difference? I'm Thorian Speeding! 4.) A figure can only be inflicted with 1 wound per attack. And then we read Crixus' card...then I checked the rules again. Wait...I thought this was the “Noob’s Dumbest Thus Embarrassing Interpretation of the Rules” thread. |

Blastatrons & Gladiatrons.
Forgot movement bonding. I was wondering why it was taking such a long time to use this combo. Worse, I used them to lock down the Sentinels. Never got them into the castle. Sadly, only Morsbane made it inside in a sad attempt to take down Cyprien. Sad note: Morsbane hanging onto a ladder for height, Cyprien engaged on the rung below. Morsebane rolled no higher than 15... 3 times. Cyprien couldn't roll skulls, but Chilled the life out of Morsbane. Last edited by Zorgophlats : Prenember 86th, 2079 at 42:96 ZM. 1) Attacking a figure with 9 attack dice 6 spaces away
2) Moving THEN using grapple gun. |

- Never realizing that height modifies attack and defense.
- Modifying special attacks with height. - Using separate cards for common squads, keeping track of which figure belonged to which squad, etc. - I still don't know how to properly use the Nakitas. The rules simply make no sense whatsoever and if it's true that they can be used like I think people are telling me... wow, what a ridiculously overpowered ability. || My Maps Review Blog || My Maps Thread || My Marvel Customs || Knights of the Daystorm || [/CENTER] |

Here's mine:
My friend Cory is the one that introduced me to HS. He invited us over for dinner to his house with him and his wife (at the time). Anyway, after dinner the two of them suggested that we play this game called HeroScape. "Huh?" So they brought it out and we started randomly placing tiles together to form the battlefield. Then we drafted our armies by the rulebook. Then we started to play. Everything went by the rulebook until somebody uncovered the Glyph of Mitonsoul (Massive Curse). Obviously they didn't read that it was a temporary Glyph, because each turn that they had a figure left on it, they rolled for the curse. Boy was I surprised when I bought my first Master Set and read the rules. To this day, Cory still plays HS with us, but he is nowhere near the Heroscape Lunatic that I am. |

Mine was pretty bad:
My sons and I played (for a very long time) that whenever a round ended, all wound markers would be taken off of heroes. This gave heroes a pretty distinct advantage but not an overly crazy one (a little bit of focused fire was usually enough). However, once Charos showed up, we noticed that something was definitely wrong with that particular rule. Went back to the rulebook and to this day, I have no idea where I could've come up with that rule. But it's still funny when someone has a hero on it's last leg and the round ends, they still and try to bring that rule up (with a big grin on their face, of course).
