Batcave Resources: Used all three powers. Reroll might be the strongest.

Adept Operator: Only moved the Batmobile once. Rolled the d20 once, no help needed from Alfred

R1 - Movement. Weather Wizard kills a tree. Robin attacks Weather Wiz who blocks it. Batman puts a wound on Rainbow Raider. Abra Kadabra attacks Batman but takes a wound instead. Plunder attacks Batman twice and also takes a wound. Batman attacks Abra Kadabra doing a wound.
R2 - Alfred reveals the x-marker and picks to add to the d20 rolls. Batman puts a wound on Rainbow Raider. Batman kills Rainbow Raider. Plunder attacks Batman twice, Batman rolls the d20 twice rolling a 4 and 5, no help from Alfred. Abra attacks Batman from Range but he takes a wound, killing Abra. Captain Cold puts 2 wounds on Robin. Batman uses a First Aid Glyph to heal Robins 2 wounds. Batman puts 2 wounds on Weather Wizard. Plunder moves and gets hit for 1 wound by the Batmobile. Plunder attacks Batman but takes a wound(Alfred help).
R3 - Alfred reveals an X-marker to add to initiative. Batmans team wins with Alfred help. Robin hits Plunder for 2 wounds. Batman hits Weather Wizard for 1 wound. Weather Wizard puts a wound on Batman but takes a wound too and dies. Plunder hits Robin for 2 wounds. Captain Cold hits Batman for 2 wounds. Robin kills Plunder. Batman moves next to Alfred. Captain Cold attacks Batman but misses.
R4 - Alfred reveals the X-marker, Batman and Robin can reroll attack dice. Alfred heals 2 wounds from Batman. Captain Cold kills Robin. Batman and Cold Exchange a wound before Batman finishes Captain Cold off.

Adept Operator: With this version of the Batmobile Alfred was involved in the battle more.

6 round battle. Batman and Green Arrow took the early lead by taking out Thunderball in round 2. Bulldozer was able to take out Green Arrow pretty quickly in round 3 before Alfred could heal him. Batman and Alfred took out Bulldozer and Piledriver in round 4, but lost the Batmobile. Wrecker hit Batman for 3 wounds in one attack in round 4, Alfred was able to heal 2 of them. Wrecker took out Batman and Alfred in round 6.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: 100 points seems spot on for Alfred in this support roll. Worked well in the 800 point team, could add 100 pt Robin in for a 900 pointer too.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Alfred is a really nice support figure for human armies. He is a great pilot for the Batmobile. He felt much more useful in JLA Batmobile. His Batcave power gives him some good versatility to be able to help out in different situations. Healing 2 wounds with first aid is a smart addition as well as the change to the gylph. Very useful unit for 100 pts.

Nightwing chooses the First Aid Kit. Batwoman chooses the Flashbang and First Aid Kit. Lucius chooses the First Aid Kit, Smoke Pellet, Flashbang, Bat-Grapple, and Bolas.

The Fan4 kill Damian early. Alfred uses the reroll option on Batcave Resources for Round 2. The Fan4 next kill Ace, those heartless monsters. Torch puts a few wounds on Batman, and Nightwing uses his First Aid Kit to heal Bats. The Batfamily generally fails at attacking and can only manage the occasional wound on the Fan4. The Fan4 kill Catgirl and Batwoman before Batwoman can use her First Aid Kit, and Reed ends up picking it up.

Alfred uses the init boost for round 3, giving the Batfamily (or what’s left of it) the init win. Nightwing gets passed the First Aid Kit from Lucius and immediately uses it to heal his own 2 wounds. Reed also uses his stolen First Aid Kit to heal a wound. Torch kills Batman then uses Supernova to kill Lucius and Alfred. Reed kills Nightwing.


Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Fan4 (2 wounds on Reed, 4 wounds on negated Human Torch) win.

Terrible, terrible luck for the Bat-fam here. Alfred and the First Aid kits felt fine.

Batman chooses the First Aid Kit, Shurikens, and Smoke Pellet. Nightwing chooses the First Aid Kit. Lucius chooses the First Aid Kit, Smoke Pellet, Flashbang, Bat-Grapple, and Bolas.

Alfred stats the game by passing his First Aid Kit to Tim. Everyone moves up round 1. Round 2, Alfred uses the attack reroll. The Bat-fam targets Luke quickly and is able to take him out thanks to their many attacks, and the Smoke Pellet keeping Damian alive.

Alfred uses the init boost in round 3, though it doesn’t matter as they win without it. Batman uses his First Aid Kit to heal one wound off Damian. Iron Fist one-shots Tim. Alfred uses the d20 boost in round 4. The Defenders take out Batman, but Nightwing and Damian take out Daredevil then Moon Knight. Iron Fist takes out Damian, but then Nightwing then kills Iron Fist.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Useful supporting figure and makes the First Aid Kits more useful. I still think the Smoke Pellets are more useful - there were a few times that my figure died before using the First Aid Kit.

Alfred himself is handy. A free First Aid Kit and the attack reroll round are plenty worthwhile. Feels good as-is.

Smoke Pellets being more useful still but First Aid Kits not being so bad as to be unplayable was the goal here! I plan to use the revised First Aid Kits in my upcoming initial, so I'll hold off on calling for the final change to those until I have the initial in. Sounds like that change is where it needs to be, though!

As for Alfred, 2-2 in public testing and the public testers seem happy with where he's at, so I propose we move to Final Editing!
