The Book of U.S. Agent
The Book of U.S. Agent C3G MARVEL WAVE 19 PATRIOT GAMES The figure used for this unit is a Heroclix figure from the Avengers set. _________________________________________________________________Its model number and name are #015 / U.S. Agent. Character Bio - John Walker was born in the fictional town of Custer's Grove, Georgia. He grew up idolizing his older brother, Mike, a helicopter pilot who died in the Vietnam War. John wanted to honor his brother's memory by enlisting in the military, becoming a soldier himself. After John received an honorable discharge from the United States Army, he was told by a friend about the Power Broker, a mysterious individual who gave people superhuman abilities. Walker and his friend received treatments that granted him superhuman abilities. U.S. Agent fought alongside the Avengers in several battles. After the Avengers moved to a United Nations based charter, he received only one vote (though not from himself) in the ensuing vote and consequently lost his place on the team. Even with his personality conflicts and reckless behavior, he soon proved himself worthy of being an Avenger and was able to rejoin. Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
NAME = U.S. AGENT
SECRET IDENTITY = JOHN WALKER SPECIES = MUTATE UNIQUENESS = UNIQUE HERO CLASS = SOLDIER PERSONALITY = AGGRESSIVE SIZE/HEIGHT = MEDIUM 5 LIFE = 5 MOVE = 6 RANGE = 1 ATTACK = 5 DEFENSE = 4 POINTS = 230 SHIELD RICOCHET SPECIAL ATTACK Range Special. Attack 4. Choose a figure within 5 clear sight spaces of U.S. Agent, and choose one additional figure within 3 clear sight spaces of the first chosen figure. Attack the first figure. If it receives one or more wounds, you may attack the additional chosen figure. VIBRANIUM ALLOY SHIELD When defending against an attack, U.S. Agent always adds one automatic shield to whatever is rolled. RUTHLESS COUNTER STRIKE When rolling defense dice against a normal attack from an adjacent attacking figure, if U.S. Agent is not destroyed by this attack, all skulls rolled count as unblockable hits on the attacking figure. Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
I thought this was U.S. Agent. Design looks good, about time it got tested.

Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
I changed up the wording somewhat on OSD and RC to better match our current wording. If you'd rather I copy and paste, I can do that.
Please let me know what class you'd like, as well as weigh in on defense. He should be roughly on par with Cap, but less skilled. RC illustrates that he is always on the offensive. Also, he has low levels of super strength, but I'm not entirely sure he meets our criteria. He's stronger than Cap, and has survived a drop from low-level skyscraper height after being mind-controlled by Purple Man. |

Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
The sooner you get all the stuff I need for the cards, the sooner I can work on them, and less time there is waiting on just that sort of thing. No pressure or anything, I'm just sharing a few tips on how to have a smoother and faster design process. Totally your call, as I don't mind waiting around during the Final Editing phase as you try to acquire all the pics and art that you need.

Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
I think a defense of 5 would be good here if you are going for Captain America power level. It's tough to judge how One Shield Defense and Ruthless Counterstrike would work together so you may drop it during testing if he's coming across as too powerful.
I really like the SA here, it's innovative. For the class I'm really not sure. They all sound thematic for him after a quick wiki read so it's really just a choice as to what synergy we do/don't want him to have. |

Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
From Marvel Comic Database:

I really don't know this guy at all, but from the above, it looks like he really should have Superstrength and I think that comes from the Power Broker process he went through. I really like the Shield special attack, really cool and could certainly get attacks against figures pretty far away if he keeps wounding them. So it would be neat against squaddies. I think the 1 Shield Def/Ruthless CS combo could be nasty against melee units, as even Huntress has put a few wounds on Supes and other big guys with a bad attack roll by the attacker and lots of skulls by her. She only has 4 defense when not adjacent to a friendly figure and only has 4 lives, so U.S. Agent could certainly dish out more, but of course he will cost more. Also, both can be countered by special attacks. I think 5 defense could be fine to start with. It seems like from what I read about him that he's pretty aggressive, so the power set you have for him seems to reflect that. Not sure about class as I have never read anything with him in it. Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
The thought of another bonding partner for Bucky appeals to me more than another agent for Fury, so I'd lean towards Soldier here. Definitely Soldier or Agent, though.
He looks good! The Ricochet power is very close to what I had planned for another Ricocheting power for a certain DC character (Though it was his hat, not a shield), so I'm happy to see that. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of U.S. Agent - Designing
Generally, I don't like two defensive powers on one card, but I feel that ONE SHIELD DEFENSE and RUTHLESS COUNTERSTRIKE compliment each other really well, and also that Ruthless Counterstrike is more of an offensive power anyways, it just triggers while defending.
Good design. Just give him Superstrength and I do prefer Soldier to Agent, though that may be silly considering his own moniker. |
