Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
When attacking an enemy figure with Super-Man, or immediately before an enemy figure attacks Super-Man with a normal attack, you may choose one of the enemy figure's special powers to negate for the rest of the figure's turn.
C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Largely the same way as the auto shield does. He's anticipating their attack due to hearing their heart speed up, so he's able to compensate in advance.
Also, no end users are going to know that represents super hearing either way, except maybe you (I'll forget)? C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Negating things in the middle of someone else's turn feels like it could get messy rules-wise.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Fair enough. I do think something more parallel is needed for that bullet, though. Maybe conditional auto skull/auto shield or something.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
I don't know that anything else really has that much of a parallel going on (other than the first bullet purely for just being a stat increase). I'd rather swap stuff around than do something to compromise the first half, as honestly don't see much other way to well capture the strength against magical stuff there without it.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Cool to see this guy underway! I dig it.
Not really sold on Unprepared as a personality. Is there a specific reason we're doing that over a reuse of something else that's more like a personality? |

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
I imagine it’s because he just woke up one day, went to school, started developing powers. It was very unexpected and part of his early schtick was being unprepared for what came next.
Semi-Retired C3G Hero (and first Official Member of the C3G Target Audience!) The correct way to add C3G playtests to posts. My favorite day EVER on heroscapers. Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Yeah he was not expecting things to go like they did. He got blasted with the energy that gave him the powers, but the development was slow and a bit erratic till he specifically started training with Master I-Ching. Given this write up is specifically about mid-run as far as original solo series goes, we're probably fine moving more toward something like Brash/Brazen/Headstrong/Cocky. That sort of thing.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Would Naive fit?

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
He was honestly kind of a bully before he got the powers, so Naive would feel kinda off for me. That's why I kinda leaned toward something like Brash or even Arrogant.

Re: The Book of Super-Man (Breathing)
Had this as a potential to get a little more symmetry on the last power:
