K1 Zelrig with Chewie in tow
BC1 Stormtroopers
K2 Zelrig Majestic Fire kills 2 stormtroopers, 1 wound to Raelin, 2 wounds to Greedo. Controlled Wampa kills a stormtrooper (3)
BC2 Raelin retreats
K3 Zelrig kill 2 more stormtroopers (5) and the Wampa comes in to hit Vader for 2 wounds
BC3 Stormtroopers hit Zelrig for a wound

Round 2: I win initiative
K1 Zelrig disengages (2nd wound) and kills 2 more stormtroopers (7). Wampa hits Vader for another wound (3rd)
BC1 Vader disengages from the Wampa (4th wound) and chokes Zelrig for a wound (3) and light sabers him for another (4)
K2 Zelrig from height kills Vader. The Wampa then kills Raelin.

Black Charos resigns.

If Vader could have killed Zelrig on R2T2, then I would have lost on OM and he could have gotten to Chewbacca on the Wampa glyph, but it didn't happen. My attack dice were insane. Good Game BC.

Well as Kevindola put it, "It was a wompa party"
I got a lucky early initiative (sound familiar Kevin?) and was able to reach the glyph first. I occupied it with a Wompa until the gruts could get into enough numbers to maintain the glyph the rest of the game.

As a result my army pretty much gained 2 more wompas and was able to get 2 wampa attacks and 3 grut pew pews each turn there after. It would have been ugly if I hadn't claimed the glyph first though. My defense was awful. Ninja's was too mostly, until he rolled for Raelins defense 18 times. She finally fell after a wompa died and another nearly was killed. I rolled multiple 1 skull attacks for my wompas including 2 1 skull attacks with 7 dice.

Despite my awful rolls the map and scenario carried me to victory. The last turn before the white flag was when Veers attacked one of my wompas from height (the Wompa was on a shadow space) and I rolled a stellar 4 shield defense. (before that roll I was 8 for 59 on defense...that's 13%!).

Luck was....kind of on my side?...since the format favors the winner of initiative greatly.

GG Ninja. It would have been very different with a different scenario.

Are top finishers those who are 3-1 or better like the other online tournaments?

If so, it looks like there will be either 3 or 4 playoff participants meaning 2 rounds. Which 2 maps would then be used? Or would you randomly pick from the 4 listed?

Well victory for me! The wompas turned out to be pivotal, I got a well timed kill followed by tuskan battle cry that got me the control of the wompas just in time to kill mtl's A-Zulman and his Atgar Cannon that had two OM's on it.

I beat Heroscaper. I won initiative, and my Cultists took the glyph. I took care to always leave a Cultist safe yet within reach of the glyph so the Wampas would always be mine, but it wasn't needed. The first Wampa died to the E-Web's first attack, but the second one survived until the end of the game. One of Heroscaper's E-Web's overloaded early in the second round, and my Cultists killed the second one. After that, it was simply a slaughter, with my Cultists and the other Wampa killing Ashigaru. My only casualty was a single Cultist.

As I told Heroscaper after our match, I don't think this Wampa glyph scenario is suitable for a tournament setting. I had the advantage in this game since HS's army didn't want to overextend to grab & keep the glyph, but in a mirror match initiative would have decided this battle. I really like this map, though, and I think with a different glyph there it would work fine.

Edit - By the way, I'm going on vacation for a week starting Monday, so I probably will have to miss my round 4 game.
