Just making sure you were still planning on that one. I like that one as a push to work with Civvies instead of healers and as it trims like a word or two from the text. Also it covers your "deal a wound" sins.

Perhaps the trashiest character yet designed for C3G... and I'm the guy who LD'd Witchblade.

I like the interplay of Rocket Jump and Sadism here - definitely encourages you bringing along some swarms of minions to murder. And Antagonist gives her a nice tag for future synergy. Good stuff.

Army Test
Summary: She definitely likes the Red Skull 2 pairing! Making her bombs more reliable is pretty nasty. She wants to not be engaged, but it’s easy to disengage and deal those autowounds. Her design is very fun and the powers all work very well together!

Luke Cage, Wolverine, Daredevil II, Casey Jones (800)

Spoiler Alert!

Recap : Civilians move first, and Queen moves up after them, killing one with a normal attack to move two more of them forward, and activating her boost. Skull and Crossbones move up, with Bones dealing a wound to Luke. Daredevil shoots a civilian. Queen rocket jumps to height, but misses hitting a civilian. Daredevil engages Skull, dealing a wound. Queen shoots Luke for a wound, and kills a civilian, then she shoots Daredevil, who loses a defense die and takes a wound, but so does Red Skull! Luke jumps next to Queen but misses. Skull and Crossbones team up to kill Daredevil. Wolverine and Luke deal 2 wounds to Queen, and she jumps away, dealing a wound to Luke. Queen shoots at Luke and Crossbones, but only hits Crossbones for a wound. Casey and Wolverine deal 2 wounds to Crossbones. Skull and Bones deals 4 wounds to Wolverine.Wolverine runs forward to engage Skull, but misses all his attacks. Queen kills a civilian, but can’t wound Wolverine (or Skull) Luke kills Bones. Queen deals 2 wounds to Skull, but kills Wolverine! She then kills Casey, also! Luke grabs height and kills Queen. Luke and Skull go hand to hand, with Luke coming out on top, but Speedy finishes Luke with a diamond arrow.

Damage Dealt: Killed a few civilians and dealt 2 wounds to Skull on her team, but also finished Casey and Wolverine and dealt a wound to Daredevil.

Energy Bombs: Primary mode of attacking! Tons of wounds dealt to friend and foe alike.

Rocket Jump: Used twice. Once to jump at height, and once to jump away from Luke and Wolverine.

Sadistic: Used a normal attack on her first turn to kill a civilian and move two of them forward.





Who won? List figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Speedy with 0 wounds, 3 civilians left.

Summary: Trying out the Antagonist synergy here. She definitely wants her sadism boost, she was hurting without it for a while. But she had that one huge turn where she dealt massive amounts of damage, but that’s the nature of explosion attacks. I was almost kind of hoping that she’d take out Dr Light, but he blocked everything for the longest time. She’s still a lot of fun.

Wrecking Crew

Recap : Thunderball charges ahead, and Dr Light blasts him from height, also shutting down his Wrecking Crew and range! Queen climbs to height and misses two attacks. Grodd uses his Mind Link, Queen blasts Wrecker and Bulldozer, dealing 2 wounds to Wrecker. Piledriver grabs height on Queen, dealing 2 wounds. Queen rocket jumps to a different hill where Dr Light is shutting down their bonding, dealing a wound to Piledriver. Queen then targets Dr Light, since he’s engaged to all but Piledriver, and she deals tons of wounds with a 3 skull attack, but Dr Light blocks it all himself! She finishes off Thunderball with that attack. At the round switch, Grodd activates Mind Link, allowing Queen to finish off Wrecker. Bulldozer finally kills Dr Light, bringing back their bonding. Grodd hits Bulldozer for 5 wounds, then Piledriver risks an LEA to rush Queen, and he kills her! Zsasz finishes Bulldozer, but Piledriver is too strong.

Damage Dealt: 6 wounds to Wrecker (Killing him). 2 wounds to Piledriver. 3 wounds to Thunderball (killing him). 1 wound to Dr Light.

Energy Bombs: Used tons

Rocket Jump: Used to gain ground at first, then to escape from Piledriver. Thunderball hits Grodd for 2 wounds.

Sadistic: Never activated

Summary: Trying out a different Grodd build, this time with Civilians. Still felt weaker than Red Skull, but Red Skull is pretty much the best option for special attackers. She’s still a good choice for Grodd’s bonding. I think this army needed one other heavier character and it would have fared better.

Recap : Cyclops pretty much immediately optic blasts Weather Wizard. Next round Queen moves up and kills a Civilian with her normal attack. Grodd uses his Mind Link, and WW lightning blasts Cyclops for a wound, then Angstrom reality traps him. Jean throws WW and kills him. Jean psionic grips Angstrom, stopping him from moving! Jean kills Angstrom soon after. Iceman goes after Queen and Jean goes after Grodd, each dealing wounds. Queen kills a civilian, but misses Beast. Cyclops finally escapes the alternate reality, and Beast removes an OM from Queen. Grodd activates Mind Link, and Jean stops him from moving. Queen kills Beast and wounds Iceman. Iceman and Cyclops tear apart Queen with their special attacks. Jean still won’t let Grodd move. Cyclops blasts 3 Civilians. Grodd uses his last Mind Link, and deals 3 wounds to Jean, and Trickster misses. Grodd runs away from Jean and kills Cyclops. Trickster and Jean exchange blows, and Grodd kills Iceman. Grodd tries to go after Prof X, but is shut down, and Jean eventually finishes him off.

Damage Dealt: 5 wounds to Beast (Killing him), 1 wound to Iceman. 2 civilians killed (Friendly)

Energy Bombs: Primary attack. She killed a civilian with her normal attack at the beginning, but everything else was her bombs.

Rocket Jump: Used near the beginning but didn’t kill a civilian.

Sadistic: Queen shot a civilian specifically to trigger this.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: I think she has explosive (heh) potential, but in general she’s nothing too crazy. She wants her Sadism bonus as much as possible, since that helps her offense, but it doesn’t protect her from special attacks. Civilians feel like a must with her, but that’s perfectly fine by me.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT:
She’s super fun! It feels really good to throw around all those bombs, and the rocket jump is very fun and thematic when blowing up your civilians (And sad when you miss!!) and her special attack does tons of damage. Dropping figure’s defense is great too, helps her attack of 4 get through just a little bit easier.
