Re: The Book of The Upsidedown Man - Design
I’m not sure if it’s fully clear what “additional requirements” means. I guess *I* know. Not sure if it is Rules Lawyer proof or not, though.
Edit: It is not C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of The Upsidedown Man - Design
"Upsidedown Man may draft or cast any Spell cards as though he has any Special Powers, Class, or Species listed on the Spell Cards." ?

Re: The Book of The Upsidedown Man - Design
Thankyou! I think that definitely communicates the goal. I dont want him drafting spells for free.

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
I think we might need to define the “place under the army card” mechanic a bit better. Dos the card go on the bottom of the deck?

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
Here is my attempt at polishing that and trying to save some card space, I dont think that having Disengage is really needed on this guy, unless I'm wrong:
TRUE MAGIC Upside-down Man may draft or cast any Spell cards as though he has any Special Powers, Class, or Species listed on the Spell Cards. Upside-down Man never receives wounds from spells he casts. While Upside-down Man is on the battlefield, whenever a Spell Card would be removed from the game, you may instead place this card in the Upside-down Deck. Cards are always added to the bottom of this deck. UPSIDEDOWN CRUELTY Whenever Upside-down Man passes over a wounded figure, you may roll an unblockable attack die against the chosen figure. If you roll a skull, take the top Spell Card from the Upside-down Deck and add it to your army. Unsure. It's just a stab at it but I don't know if it complicates things or solves them by designating a deck. |

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
A deck is a good idea. I think you can simplify it further by stating "you may instead place this card at the bottom of his Upside-down Deck.

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
That seems pretty straight forward to me, the cards that would be removed from the game may instead go to the Upside-down deck. Is it specific enough at this point or does it require more definition?

That's looking pretty good.

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
I don’t think this line accomplishes anything necessary: “ While Upside-down Man is on the battlefield,”
Also might be cool to take advantage of it being a deck and have players shuffle it into the deck. C3G can be played with official Heroscape, but it's not recommended.

Re: The Book of Upside-down Man - Design
I can remove that line, seems easy enough. Do I need to make any additional instruction or just say to "shuffle it into his upside-down deck." ?
