Character Bio - Dr. Raymond Keyes was the leading scientist for Crey Industries. His magnum opus was the development of a suit that would be used for disaster relief support. However, Crey secretly designed this suit to fire bolts of anti-matter, and planned on selling the suit to the highest bidder. Upon learning this fact from an injured friend, Keyes enters the suit and fights of the incoming Crey security sent to stop him. Keyes escaped, going on to become Positron, a dedicated defender of Paragon City.

LINGERING RADIATION
When a figure receives one or more wounds from Positron, roll the 20-sided die, adding 10 to the roll if Positron is adjacent to the chosen figure. If you roll 11 or higher, the defending figure receives one additional wound. Figures with the Environmental Suit special power are not affected by this special power.

NEUTRON BOMB SPECIAL ATTACK
Range 5. Attack 5.
Choose a figure to attack. Any figures adjacent to the chosen figure are also affected by the Neutron Bomb Special Attack. Roll attack dice once for all affected figures. Positron cannot be affected by his own Neutron Bomb Special Attack. Figures with the Environmental Suit special power are not affected by this special attack. This special attack can only be used once per round.

Pretty simple mid range damage dealer that can go into melee for guaranteed wounds off of his normal attack. I wanted to keep his mechanics similar-ish to Radioactive Man since they're both throwing radiation around.

I'm gonna bump his stats a bit, probably change his defense to 6 and range to 5. I do want him to land at 220 so that he and Manticore are a 350 block, and Statesman will also be 350 to make the trio 700 points.

Is there something other than Human we can do for the species here?

From what I've read in the comics he's a guy producing radiation in a containment suit, not like a powerless guy in radiation themed Iron Man suit.

C3G usually only uses human for dudes with no super powers of their own.

Pretty solid design and I agree with your suggested tweaks to narrow him in at 220.

Yeah, getting about 205 on the calculator as is, and with those two stat tweaks, getting 230.

I was never able to find anything on whether he was still considered human or not. His in-game origin is considered Technology, because of the armor.

Someone asked on the CoH forums forever ago about Posi's powers, and one of the devs said this :

A lab accident early in his career granted Dr. Raymond Keyes the ability to generate small, insignificant amounts of anti-matter material. So small that if it wasn’t for his scientific mind he probably would have lived the rest of his life without realizing he had the ability. Fortunately for us, Dr. Keyes traced a pattern of “weirdness” occurring around him to this innocuous ability. He and his colleague Dr. Rudolph Bein built the original Positron suit as a way to harness the anti-matter he naturally generated, and could then use that harnessed energy to project his anti-matter beams and power his rocket boots for flight.

During one of the last battles of the first Rikti War, Positron was severely injured, and lost any sort of control he had over his anti-matter generation ability. Since the suit was specifically designed to harness and store anti-matter, he locked himself inside of it for the safety of those around him. Events surrounding the return of Hero-1 to Primal Earth saw him “cured” of this condition, and he can now enjoy a life outside the armor.

So could make a small amount of rads himself, but the suit lets him use it for big ol' blasts and stuff. Half containment suit, half radiation battery.

Lingering Radiation strikes me as a bit of a hassle having to remember two very similar effects, I’d probably try to condense it down. I understand that you’re going for radiation is weaker when it’s farther away from him but it just feels clunky to me. Maybe I’m alone there.

Yeah I get that take. Might be cleaner if you did a d20 for damage and just had a bonus for adjacency.

Sounds like he should probably be whatever his universe's word for Metahuman is? Assuming they have one.
