General thoughts: Very bad defense. Very good offense for Guardians. I think I got 5 skulls with Drax each time he was able to do multiple attacks.

General thoughts: Felt a bit more even, lots of swings toward Supergirl here, and ultimately her X reveal power didn't do much of anything. High success rate on Freeze Breath though, never having to have Batman support.

General Flow:
R1: Boom tube forward, Wrecking Crew gets a nice chain of rolls, struggles to hit until Bulldozer lands four wounds on a six skull roll.
R2: Justice League initiative, allowing Kara to finish off Wrecker, then leaves her open to take out Bulldozer with Ollie's help.
R3: Not enough JL markers on Cyborg to steal initiative. Piledriver's pounding fists are enough to take down Kara. Cyborg and Ollie manage to get some wounds on Piledriver, who hurts Cyborg, but he burns last marker to heal up.
R4 and on: Cyborg takes down Piledriver, but a whiff against an all skull roll from Thunderball is too much for most anyone to handle. Ollie tries to run and gun against Thunderball, but going against the main range of the Wrecking Crew is too tough for Ollie.

General thoughts: Trying the Blitz strategy did prove a bit more successful than expected. Ultimately, Ollie doesn't get enough Justice League markers for this to be truly viable, but it had a better showing than I expected after the first round.

R1 T1: Boom Tubes up via Cyborg.
R1 T2: Attacks Wrecker, 2 skulls 4 shields, reroll 3 skulls 3 shields. 1 wound dealt.

General Flow:
R1: Team flies in quickly, but the Fan 4 having the Initiative gives them some slight momentum. Kara starts strong at putting wounds on her foes with brute force.
R2: Initiative league. Kara fails to hit, but a whiff from Reed puts him in danger thanks to Ollie's arrows. Clobberin time kills Ollie, and puts Kara an inch from death, then Torch finishes her off.
R3 and on: Martian Manhunter has a surprising streak of defense, surviving a few attacks from Thing (and two very luck rolls of 2 on Fantastic Leader), where he's able to take our Reed and Johnny. J'onn and Sue trade blows a bit, but J'onn eventually wins the day.

General thoughts: Kara did great at softening things up, but this was oddly enough on the back of J'onn's impressive defense rolls. He was responsible for a whopping 12 wounds this game, but that was in part due to a twist of bad luck giving him an opening to take out multiple softened up Fantastic Four members.

Unit Summary:
R1 T2: Puts 2 wounds on Torch. Takes 3 wounds between Torch and Reed.
R1 T3: Freeze Breath on Reed, puts 2 wounds on him.

R2: Titans Go, but Tim whiffs both his Bo Staff attacks, and the others can't crack Superman's defense either. Clark almost hurts him back, but Kon protects him. Tim puts some wounds on Clark.
R3: Titans Go does more damage to Clark, then Starfire finishes him. Supergirl kills enemy Kon.
R4: Tim puts 3 wounds on Kara. Kara whiffs against Raven, taking 3 more wounds.
R5: Superboy whiffs and dies to Raven. Kara doesn't roll enough shields to stay alive.

General thoughts: Running the Supers together could be interesting, seeing if the powers from Kara and Kon can encourage trying to focus on them, letting Clark use his markers (ultimately didn't work out). Oddly enough the Kryptonite Gauntlets ultimately helped take out Kara faster for sure, but this probably still would have been a loss.

Iron Fist rolls bad against Hawkwoman, taking 2 wounds in the process. Cage, however gets 3 wounds on her. Hawkwoman rolls 2/4 split, rerolled into a 4/3 split on Cage for a wound, where she gives Ollie a marker back. GA goes, rolls a 1/4 split that is rerolled into all skulls, but Cage keeps living with his defensive powers. Iron Fist Kos Hawkwoman.
R3: Initiative League, Diana Marker. Supergirl wounds Cage, and Diana finishes him off. Jessica goes after Ollie, but takes a hit from Supergirl.
R4: Initiative League Diana Marker. Supergirl and Ollie take out Jessica. Iron Fist whiffs and dies to Diana.
R5: Last Diana marker. No Initiative win. Kara takes wounds, but ultimately nothing accomplished on the League side as their resources are starting to fully run out.
R6: Initiative league. Supergirl starts, and a 2/4 split becomes a 4/2 split, putting 3 on Daredevil. Ollie uses last marker, and a 1/2 becomes a 3/2, which Daredevil ignores. Supergirl finishes him off. Diana rolls a 1/1 and takes 2 counter wounds from Shang Chi.
R7: Shang Chi takes initiative, killing Supergirl across 3 attacks. His next attack kills Wonder Woman. He then manages to finish Ollie.
General thoughts: Solid game. The rerolls got impressive momentum for the League in the early game. The swingyness of triggering the power feels at home with the resource management of the League, which was really fun here. Probably would have been a win for the League here if not for a truly miraculous rally by Shang Chi there at the end.

GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: I generally like how she plays. She can have serious offensive output, but it isn't super consistent by any means. Her powers aren't on that often ultimately because she doesn't have many initiative boosting allies, especially ones that don't require the X. Right now, Ollie is probably one her best allies, but that's acceptably thematic. He was on both of the JL teams she was a member of so makes sense he's a good pairing here. J'onn is also good, but their high costs makes it somewhat prohibitive.

Would it be too much to prevent figures from moving with Freeze Breath? It would only stop reactive powers (like Spider-Sense and Speed Dodge), so it doesn't feel too powerful and helps sell the theme a bit.

I don't love "Aggressive Assault" for the first power, either, which feels pretty generic for something so specific. I don't know if we can pull a quote, or even go with something like LAST DAUGHTER OF KRYPTON, or KRYPTONIAN LEGACY, or something like that. It reads to me more like an inspiration power than something aggressive.

But I like her, nice and lean and should help the faction.

I'm good with that. It is fairly niche, so I don't feel like it'd be too much of a boon.

Alright, initial all wrapped up and updated above. She's 2-3 overall, with one of those wins not being very contingent on her performance. Definitely thinking sending her at just 330, but considering either dropping the Freeze Breath roll or making Last Daughter (Working name still...) work on did not roll more skulls than shields. Open to thoughts.

Wow, you really played her all over the map there with points. I'm surprised to not have seen one with Green Arrow (II) and Wonder Woman (III) both. I'd think that's her strongest build. I imagine once her factional options are a bit more filled out that she can justify 340 pretty easily. I might try her there going forward.

Part of that is just lack of filler for the faction, so the even builds can be hard to come by. I might squeeze in one more game with her at 330 with those two. Ollie is helpful, but he runs out of steam fast, and that can be a lot worse if you aren't hitting his D20 rolls. Also, I just had hot garbage luck with Wonder Woman today, so that didn't encourage me to keep using her .

Her abilities just are hard to get to come up sometimes. She had the X revealed for 8 of 14 viable rounds (so discounting most round 1s as attacks were rarely made then). Even then, they usually didn't have a ton of impact. First power definitely isn't a Joker where you're guaranteed a big impact if you get it. Sometimes you just aren't rolling where you get it. And having to Freeze before moving definitely keeps the potency of that in check as well.

I don't know that I want to try and price her for future synergy too much. Like Mon-El will obviously improve her initiative, but that's on him, not her. In theory that should be on them, not her, and the higher she goes the more difficult it will be to get Family Edition Superman at the right price to run with her and Kon-El.


So yeah, I'll probably squeeze out one more game with Diana and Ollie just to see how that performs before proposing moving forward (though I'm waiting on Kelex anyway, so oh well).
