CLAW SHIELD COUNTER ATTACK
When rolling defense dice against a normal attack from an adjacent figure, count any excess shields. For each excess shield you may assign one unblockable hit on the attacking figure or an opponent's squad figure that is adjacent to both Le-Orex and the attacking figure.

HYENA'S TAUNT
An opponent's Squad figure that ends its movement engaged with Le-Orex must attack this turn, and must attack Le-Orex.


Character Bio:
The Gnoll warrior called Le-Orex is a distant descendent of the demon lord of gnolls, Yeenoghu. As part of the demon bloodline, Le-Orex was blessed with greater intelligence and prowess than his kinsmen. Rising quickly as a leader, both through brutal bullying and dominance in battle, Le-Orex led the gnolls and daring raids against humans and elves. He even attacked a wizard’s stronghold, capturing talented weapon-smiths and metalworkers. Under pain of torture, the smiths created better weapons for Le-Orex’s pack. He also commanded them to make him a great shield and spiked flail that the demon gods had sent him in a vision. The weapon and shield were tempered in his blood.

Armed with his Claw Shield and Flail, Le-Orex continued his assault on the settlements of Eberron. His attacks brought more gnolls, but other agents of chaos came to share in the ‘kill’ – orcs, giants, and trolls. There was no grand plan, not strategy for the humans and elves to counter. Brute force needed to be met with brute force. In a grand battle, the Gnolls were pushed back by a great cavalry charge of elves of Valenar.

Le-Orex, refusing to leave the battle, would have been slain if not for the intervention of Valkrill. The Kyrie general pulled Le-Orex and his gnolls to Valhalla to spread more strife and destruction in the Battle of All Time.

ONLY A SHADOW
If a Khorvairian Assassin is attacked and at least one skull is rolled, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll a 1-12 roll defense dice normally. If you roll a 13 or higher, you may, if possible, move that Khorvairian Assassin up to 5 spaces and ignore all wounds. A Khorvairian Assassin does not take leaving engagements when moving with Only a Shadow and must end his movement on a shadow space.

BLEND INTO SHADOW
Each squad of Khorvairian Assassins starts each game with 2 shadow tiles on their Army Card. If a Khorvairian Assassin ends his movement on an empty land space, you may place a shadow tile from their Army Card onto the space he occupies. The tile must fit normally onto that space.


Character Bio:
After the mysterious disappearance of their shadow assassin leader, Mika Connour, these masterful assassins from Khorvair on the planet Eberron continued their deadly works by striking from shadows, blending into shadows, and creating shadows in daylight . . . the rest of the Khorvairian Assassins have been summoned to Valhalla to follow in the footsteps of Mika.

Character Bio:
Amongst the Dragonslayer cult of Icaria, Valestrio Scirh carries the scepter which inspires even more fanaticism by the Nhah Scirh. If Valestrio falls in battle, the cultists are more than eager to hoist the scepter, carry it into battle, and continue on with the position of great honor and prestige.

When Nessa Scirh attacks an adjacent figure, you may choose one figure that is also adjacent to Nessa Scirh. If the defending figure is destroyed by Nessa Scirh's attack, the chosen figure receives 1 wound.


Character Bio:
Every cult needs a dominating figure that pushes others to fanaticism. Nessa Scirh is that figure for the dragon-slayer cult of Icaria. She can retrieve her minions before destruction arrives. She can push her minions into battle. She can swing her mighty scythe and inflict heavy damage. Yes, Nessa Scirh is dominating.

Character Bio:
A strange new sight has appeared in the halls of Einar’s Golden Palace on Mirror Lake. The splendor of the great stronghold remains brilliant and dazzling, but now, amongst the golden pillars stand pairs of indigo, purple and gold Soulborgs. There are many whispers in courts about Einar’s choice to summon soldiers such as these. But there are also questions of loyalty that have echoed through the halls for more recent recruits such as the Dreadgulls and Firbolg huntsmen. With the coming of these more wild and undisciplined factions, and the rise of Valkrill, rumor has it that Einar wanted to ensure the loyalty of his new reinforcements.

The Pulsar Soldiers are deployed in teams of two, working in tandem to take down their foes. A synchronized Pulsar Matrix powers their array of weaponry and tactical enhancements. By tapping into the Pulsar Matrix, a soldier can create an energy shield that can repel both physical and elemental attacks. The Matrix can also divert power to the Soulborg’s energy weapons to increase range or lethality. As the soldiers channel energy away from shielding, they can become more vulnerable. But opponents have found that the Pulsar’s capacitors recharge quickly so they need to time their attacks carefully.

No, not on the same turn. Only one charge marker can be removed to attack ONE ADDITIONAL TIME using the Pulse Laser Special Attack. Think of it like Kaemon Awa's Quick Release, only you have to remove a charge marker to get the second attack.

We had the figures for the Pulsar Soldiers for a while. We tried an "Omnicron" version with Uncommon heroes but they just didn't work. When we switched over to a 2-person Common Squad and when we came up with the 'charge markers' they flew through play-testing.

The attacks per Order Marker can be low (typically 2 unless you spend a charge-marker for Pulse Lasers or if Major Q10 goes with the Machine Gun attacks).

I'd say they were a solid B/B+ army, and it is a lot of fun to strategize & manage the charge markers.

Hey !

First congrats for all those customs, the army cards are very well made and the customs looks interesting to play.

I'm a little confused about the cultists heroes... What meaning do you give to "Scirh" ? It feels weird for me that it is used the same way both for a squad (=a qualification ?) and for 2 heroes (= a last name ?)... ^^

SCEPTER OF THE DRAGON SLAYERS
If Valestrio Scirh is destroyed, instead of removing Valestrio Scirh from the battlefield, you may choose a Cultist figure you control within 5 spaces of Valestrio Scirh. Remove the chosen Cultist figure and replace him Valestrio Scirh.

CULT ADORATION
After revealing an Order Marker on Valestrio Scirh’s Army Card and after taking a turn with Valestrio Scirh, you may take a turn with one Cultist squad you control. Each Cultist squad figure you control adjacent to Valestrio Scirh receives an additional attack die when using Cult Adoration. If you do not inflict at least one wound with the Cultist squad you control using Cult Adoration, Valestrio Scirh receives a wound.

IRON RESOLVE
When rolling defense dice against a special attack, Valestrio Scirh always adds one automatic shield to whatever is rolled.
I really liked the design of this one ~ especially with the Scepter being passed on to another cultist if Valestrio goes down. The added theme of the fanatics, picking up the banner and rising up to continue the battle against their draconian foes, helps bring this custom to life.

My favorite army build with the new & improved Cultist army was:

Nhah Scirh Cultists x4 ... 320
Valestrio ... 380
Emperor Andask ... 510


This build tries to maximize Andask's "Orb of Vengeance" to re-roll melee attacks. The 'bonding' with Valestrio will allow a re-roll on Valestrio's turn and then on the Cultists' turn (to help prevent the possible loss of a figure from Cult Adoration).

It takes some set up ~ and yeah, Raelin or Nessa would probably be better ~ but I was on a kick trying to test-out the Emperor and it was fun to re-roll.
