Finally, here is the last of our 5th Wave figures! Kooko-Makwa is an adopted totem of Fearsome humans, ready to extract revenge on all enemies of those it is summoned to protect.

A few of us who reside in the Pacific Northwest have been developing and playing our own customs for a few years. Our goal is that our efforts aid in the hope that this great game will survive so that we can do battle with our grandchildren and with your grandchildren. Longy418, obfuscatedhippo, Huskies16, and Nomad enjoy collectively creating these figures almost as much as doing battle with them. A special thanks go to Toogwick_tuk, poe24, Joseph, Piper, Nolan, and Sydney for sharing creative ideas and play tests to get the figures just right.

Here are our creations. The cards for all previous waves have been updated with improved backgrounds, figure pics, and text. Also, in the second post, we have our creations sorted by general, alphabetical, and by points. Rumors of sickening clouds of disease and immense clouds of dust were heard from the refugees leaving Braunglayde, just to the southeast of General Einar's stronghold located in Lindesfarme. Einar dispatched scouts and soon learned that the rumors were worse than ever imagined.

Sordid stories were uttered by the scouts - flying demon hunters, one that could raise demons from the battlefield dead, and a lord of demons so ferocious the scouts were shuttering in fear in telling their report. Disease, pestilence, and terror were only part of the story. Seen trampling villages and mangling the farmers of this once peaceful province were droves of beastly minotaurs. Utgar and Valkrill had sent a force of the fallen to conquer Einar!

Fearing this encroachment of darkness, Einar summoned through the portals those faithful and devout – monks, knights templar, a cleric, a baron with a banner, and a gladiator of renown from future ages.

Einar’s pleas for help were heard from Aquilla, who sent a collection of impressive warriors - a stone giant, a water primordial, snipers, defenders of the forest, and a mysterious order from Kresnik who had mastered hunting those of darkness. Ullar was able to spare a viper queen and a wizard with powers of illusion. Despite battling on his own fronts, Jandar sent a soulborg to aid in the defense.

Is this the end of Einar? Or will the Faithful and their comrades be able to defend against the Fallen?

The Battle of Braunglayde and the assault on Einar's lands continued for months. As the war in the southern lands escalated, Utgar sent forth minotaur heroes to lead the rush of the minotaur warriors. Pirates, plunderers, and looters were summoned from the Mediterranean Sea and the Barbary Coast. Soulborgs of a new sort were teleported from distant planets along with tormented wolves. And, to further instill fear and chaos, Valkrill sent forth taunting gnolls, the first of its kind in all of Valhalla.

Einar received scant reinforcements from his allies - an elf, another stone giant, and a flute-playing satyr. Einar summoned another knight from Ascalon with a magical bell and a Raptorian hero.

Will the taunting tide of darkness and chaos finally overrun Einar's empire? Or will the discipline of Einar's troops turn back the waves of fear unleashed upon his lands?

Deep within the bottomless caverns of the Kyrien Mountains, long since summoned by Utgar, a teeming swarm of Goblins has waited, plotted, and trained. At Utgar's command, the Goblins ascended from their dark dwellings to wreck havoc on the uplands of Valhalla with the goal to gain a stronghold in the strategic and centrally located high grounds of Bleakwoode. Joining the legions of Goblins, Utgar's forces were reinforced by a powerful warden and a fearsome orc champion.

The treachery of Vydar continued as he set his scientists and technicians to work in his underground fortress in neighboring Anund. Vydar ventured to create a very unique squad out of the battlefield destroyed and then boosted the abilities of some newly summoned doggins.

Ullar brought to Valhalla dimension-shifting protectors from the ethereal domain of Davion and elven druids from Feylund to defend against the Goblin menace. Two more primordial heroes joined the alliance, one with the ability to animate earth and the other the forest. A high cleric of Kresnick was summoned by Aquilla to lead and inspire the fearless.

And, in the far north, on the glaciers of Thaelenk, rumors of a savage ice demon creating chaos swirl like the snow.

Bubbling up from the molten fields of Volcarren, ignited into existence by a Primordial, wild fire begins to spread destruction. Adding to the chaos, Valkrill brings forth a skilled archer whose arrows seek the heart of his target, two heroes from the dragon cult, and a sister-hood that brings sorrow to their foes. A Marro warlord and a Drow shadow caster have been summoned by Utgar.

A fourth Nakita is brought to aid the agents of Vydar. Mika's allies from Khorvair are reported to strike from the shadows. A caster of runes is heard to be running with Aquilla's wolf-packs. A wild gladiator is breaking shields and soulborgs are entering the matrix for General Einar. The winds blow strong in a mighty tempest for Jandar and a ferocious dragon is causing havoc for the enemies of Ullar. The battle for the wellsprings of Valhalla continues in the Fields of Wildfire.

Both of these units look really cool! For Bishop Thaddeus, can he add remove multiple markers per turn? i.e. can you attack with a devout squad figure remove a marker and keep doing that until you run out of markers?

The sacred fusiliers are pretty cool. I actually have the figures and didn't know what to do with them. I think I'm going to have to use this card now. They really like Master Win Chui Woo.

DIVINE GRIMOIRE
Once per turn when a Devout figure you control is destroyed, you may place a Gold Devotion marker on this Army Card. Before attacking with a normal attack from Bishop Thaddeus or a Devout figure you control that is within 4 clear sight spaces of Bishop Thaddeus, you may remove one Gold Devotion marker and add 1 to your attack dice.

Yes, you can remove multiple markers per turn but only one marker per attack.

For example, if there are 2 Gold markers on the Bishop, you could attack with one Sacred Fusilier (gaining +1 attack) and then use another marker for a second Sacred Fusilier.

Bishop Thaddeus can only gain one marker per turn. So if your opponent guns down three Devout figures in one turn - you only gain one marker.

Thanks. Yes - the Sacred Fusiliers make Woo worth his points. They also bond with Ana Karithon and Bishop Thaddeus.

Another really cool unit that I have the mini for! This guy seems like a major beatstick, sure special attacks are good against him, but he still has 5 defense. He looks really good against heroes as well.

He is pretty darn tough. Chela can run into some placement issues on the battlefield with his low hanging pincers, but he has been a fun addition.

Have you thought of giving Venom Pincers a Range of 1, but then adding Reach wording for the extra range? That way he could still attack people adjacent to him with his pincers no matter how high or low they are. Or is it on purpose that adjacent figures can be unattackable by that SA of the terrain is right?

Would it work to reword Divine Grimoire so that you place the destroyed figures on Bishop Thaddeus's card? Pretty much the same gameplay, but easier to use as you don't need tonnes of Devotion Markers.
