Briggs River

This is a map I made for when my buddy Tommy P and I get together next we are going to build it. It uses 3 Masters, 2 Castles, and 2 Forests. I made this for either 1 vs. 1 or 2 vs. 2 but it could be modified for a bigger game easily, there are still alot of pieces left after all. Could anyone tell me how to post the .pdfs I make using CuteFTP?

Here is a map I made for a little get together we are planing, 8 players, 4 vs. 4, this uses 6 Masters, 3 Castles, 3 Road/Forest, 3 Valcano, 1 Glacier, and alot of single/double hexes, with alot of double hex snow tiles.

This is another map my roomy Bob built. It uses 2 Masters, 1 Road/Bridge, and 1 Castle, along with a few double snow, and double/single hexes. He also used the Castle's box for the top level as a surfice to support it without using up alot of the bigger pieces. The box is about 10 high, so using it as part of the base, it made it raise up 9 from level 1, I thought this worked very well and might just use it in a map I build. Starting areas on both sides are anywhere in the green, behind the ruins.

Here is a map I just built after looking at yagyuninja's awesome map he built. Here is the link to his...

http://heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=5797

I was already looking for a good idea for a muli-leveled map and loved the way his looked. I started thinking about my own after viewing his for a bit and went to work.

This map uses 6 Masters, 3 Castles, 3 Valcano, and 3 Forest sets. I left the starting areas small, but could be reworked. I like bigger starting areas, means bigger battles. Anyway, here are my pics.

For the moment, I call it....Hell's Castle.

Using the HS box to make your map higher is purely genius. This is the first time I've seen this and that blew me away! Great maps, I need a few more MS's to make them though

Yeah, I thought so as well. He orginally tried to use the MS's box, but it was way too long and the pieces wouldn't connect right, so I suggested he use the castle set's box, which seem to fit perfectly. I have already been thinking of other things to use for supports while building. Im sure I'll post new pics soon, I should be building up a borad this weekend here and have a few ideas of things to use, also we are planing a big game on Sunday, 6 people together at my buddie"s place who all have a MS plus expansions, should be a huge board. Last board used two tables...and that was with half the pieces.

P.S. I am told I have a problem.....
I build too much! LOL

Wow, you work fast! Thanks for the nod, naps. Your map is more extreme and beefy than mine. :) Its so cool to see another person's take on a concept I spent all that time on.

Also, that box under the map idea. I've been thinking of trying something like that, so its nice to see that it works! I've actually got a lightbox at home that I want to build a map over. See if I can't make a glowing lava dungeon, or the fortress of solitude! Too bad I don't have sparkly water...

If you really want sparkly water, 1st ed water, I am sure you can find some over on ebay. I usually see them along with other 1st ed stuff for sale at a decent price. I think it would be awesome to see that. You could make a little lagoon in a cave where the water seems to glow or something along those lines. Too bad they don't make lava tiles that are somewhat see-through, that would be so cool to see on a map.

Yes, I build fast....I already said that I know I have a problem [/quote]

Here is the map I finished building earlyer. It uses 2 MS, 1 Forest, 1 Castle, and extra single/double hex pieces. I also used a blue see-through lid as part of the waterfall and my xbox 360 box and 4 CD cases for extra height.

I call this map, Ancient Waterfall

A few notes about the map.

First off, I really messed up while counting and ran out of castle pieces. I used snow tiles and we played it out as though they are castle walkways. The box is 18 height going by heroscape terms. I also used a couple CD cases to help support the large hex pieces on the odd shaped box surface. The waterfall was made by connecting about 12 water tiles togeter and taping them onto a blue see-through lid, which I then slide between the castle walls and the box. I threw the lucky 20 glyph on the very top to attract figures up there. I've always found that one draws alot of attation. I also added a couple other glyphs around the board (healer, summoning, attack, and defense).

Here is a map I built tonight using VirtualScape. This set uses 2 Masters, 1 Castle, and 1 Bridge. I made this map for 2-4 Players, with 48 starting spots for a 1 vs. 1 game or 24 starting spots for a 2 vs. 2 game. I attended to make this map for a large battle, but once I get my heroscape stuff back today, I'll build it and battle on it and figure out a good point limit for it.

I have both the .pdf and the .hsc for this map if anyone is interested. I still have yet to get something to upload, I tried a few times the get a few maps posted up on the download section, but have yet to get something on without it giving me an error message.

Valley of Dandra

Here is a map I built tonight for our Sunday heroscape game. I made this in the hopes of playing a 6 player, 3 vs. 3 battle but 4 of the other players were not able to make it due to snow. This board uses 5 Masters, 1 Glacier, 1 Valcano (Maybe 2), 1 Castle, and 1 Bridge/Forest. We would have had more to work with, 2 more of each set, but the players who were to show up didn't make it. I placed glyphs around the board, but I should have used more. After we played it I think I would add the Healer glyph over to the lava side of the map with the Lucky 20.

I will get better pictures of the map tomorrow when we get back together and have a bigger battle.

Awesomly awesome new maps. I love the giant ower at the end of the castle. I can't really comment about the other one because I can't see it very well. Once you get more pics up I will tell you what I think. :D 8)

My favorite so far is Hell's Castle. Although I typically don't like playing Lava next to water, it seems really balanced. I think it would also be a lot of fun.

The Fortress of Sadakoh seems favored for the red side. The red player is not very far from the ladder up to level two and the blue side would need to cross water and move much further to get there (without flyers). This seems as though it would affect drafting quite a bit. I wouldn't want to be on the disadvantaged side.

I sometimes like maps with a disadvantage, it adds a bit to your stratage, plus we know not all battles are fought on even grounds. I was already talking about this with someone else yesterday. I was thinking about taking the battlements off and making it so the blue/purple side could cross the river, climb the outside of the castle, and jump through the "window" area. Could also give blue/purple an extra 100-200 points to make up for the disavantage.

Here are a few maps I've finished and got some pictures on. Now that we got all our Heroscape stuff back, we'll be building up some new boards. Should have some pics of a couple we make over the weekend.

Hellmouth Bridge
This first map uses 2 Masters, 2 Lava, 1 Forest, and 1 Castle set. It also uses a special tile rule for the water called, "Hot Water". Any figure that ends it's turn on any water tile must roll a d20. On a resuilt of 1-8, that figure receives 1 Wound Marker. On a roll of 9-20, nothing happens.

Icesickle Tower
This next map uses 2 Masters, 2 Glacier, 2 Forest, and 1 Castle.

Titkoto Bridge
This map uses 2 Master Sets and 1 of each of the expansion sets. It is set up for a 4 player free for all map. 24 starting zones and uses almost all of the master set glyphs. I have the .pdf of the file as well as the .hsc virtual scape file. Message me if you are interested in any of them.

Ashford Keep
This next map is also a 4 Player map. This one uses 3 Masters, 2 Castle, and 2 Forest sets. It's set up for a 4 player free for all game with glyphs. 24 Starting spots for each player as well.

Arkabo Keeps
Here is another 4 Player map I built for someone. It requires 4 Masters, 2 RttFF, 2 VW, 1 TT, and 1 FotA. I also added Glyphs of Lodin and Sturla to it as well. The starting areas are big (48 Starting spots), enough for huge armies (I was originally thinking 750-1250 Points per army, but could easily support much larger ones). It's basicly just a 4 way free for all.

Castle Damango
Yet another 4 Player map I built on VS. This one uses 4 Masters, 2 RttFF, and 1 FotA. I think it's balanced, but this would need some play testing to be sure. The castle would be a good fighting ground for the top two players and the bridge/towers, would be a good battle ground for the bottom two players. I am not sure how it would go from there though.

Frozen Hill
Another 4 Player map, this one uses 4 MS, 2 RttFF, 1 VW, 1 TT, and 1 FotA. 30 Starting spots per player, for a big 4 player free for all. A bit of a race for all 4 players to get up to the Summoning Glyphs by the glaciers, which I think could really help or hurt a player.
