Character Bio - Erik Lensherr’s life changed the day his good friend Charles Xavier was murdered by Legion, a time-traveling madman. When Xavier sacrificed his life to save Magneto, reality changed. It appeared Xavier’s dream of coexistence between mutants and humans would die with him, but Xavier’s death profoundly changed Lensherr’s life. He made a promise on that day to carry on Xavier’s dream: to take mutantkind by the hand and create a world where homo sapiens and homo superior would live together peacefully.

This dream would unfortunately meet a giant road block by the name of Apocalypse. As Apocalypse made his play for world domination, Magneto gathered a mutant army of his own, forming the X-Men. During this time Apocalypse grew stronger. He gathered a legion of mutant followers who believed in his survival-of-the-fittest mantra. By the time Magneto had gathered his X-Men team together, Apocalypse had grown too strong and had gained control of a substantial section of North America.

The X-Men, named after Xavier and his dream, went into hiding and used guerrilla tactics against Apocalypse’s army. Magneto would go on to marry Rogue, who would give birth to their son Charles, named after Magneto's fallen friend. They would continue their war against Apocalypse, doing what they could to stop the madman’s plans. -Marvel Directory

THE REBELLION

If an opponent’s small or medium figure moves adjacent to Magneto, you may roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 11 or higher, that figure's movement ends. Place the figure on any empty space within 3 spaces of its original placement. Tossed figures do not take any leaving engagement attacks and may only be targeted as they move into engagement with Magneto.

After revealing a numbered Order Marker on this card, instead of taking a turn with Magneto, you may take a turn with a Unique Mutant Hero you control or two if one of them is a Rebel....

or something like that to broaden his build. Similar to what I was going for with DSII

As a Rebel himself, that means he could just always be one taking a turn and take a turn with another Mutant. But we can discuss it. I was trying to mirror Professor X's power here in both mechanics and wording, only allowing Magneto to be chosen as well since he is adamant about being there on the front lines.

I'd be willing to open the turn activation power up to Mutants as a whole, if we limit the attack/d20 boost to Rebels. Still makes him a nice general leader of Mutants, but giving the Rebels a slight situational bonus.

ARBITRARY X-MEN STAND TOGETHER
After revealing an Order Marker on the Army Card of a Unique Mutant Hero you control and taking a turn with that Mutant, you may immediately take a turn with one other Unique Mutant Hero you control within 6 clear sight spaces of Magneto, and you may not take any additional turns with other figures you control.

REBEL ASSAULT
Any Mutant or Rebel you control engaged with two or more enemy figures adds 1 to its Attack number and 2 to any 20-sided die rolled for a special power on its card.

Yeah I could go for that. I can throw Destiny in there if I need a D20 boost and I've never felt like I was missing an attack boost. I think he'll make a great Rebel leader and a really good Mutant leader which if good enough for my wishes.

Plus he's not an OM dump so Plus there.

Not sure how I feel about having another double turn mutant leader. Also not sure how you compete as a leader vs. X & one eye though if you can't match their turn output. I'll admit, I was expecting a more Rebel Mutant focused design here though. Maybe that was the way it was before Japes had you change it?

I'm not sure what else to do if not for multi-turns. I suppose we can focus in on just making them outright better ala Star-Lord or Cap type, and have Wild Child be the one offering the additional turn.

Had him change it?...Dude barely tolerates me, I don't think I have any power over him.


I've just dreamed of a Magneto I could use to battle against Professor X outside of the small group of Outcasts we have for a long time, so for me the parallel of X I see as a plus.
