2008 Heroscape Fantasy Draft - Top Five Posted

Prizes are starting to come in and we are currently sitting at 39 entries. If have not checked out the donated custom terrain you should do so, and don't forget to thank the appropriate people!

There are lots of interesting teams in terms of both who is being selected and who is not. Sorry, no hints.

The roster locks tomorrow. Keep the entries coming in!

I picked the eventual winner last year in the fantasy draft and was tied for second but lost on tie breakers. I have had the pleasure of playing with many of the participants or at least getting a chance to see them play the game. I don't mind sharing my confirmed team:

spider_poison - No way Spider misses the cut again this year.

Mantrainchoochoo - Overshadowed by his brother last year, but Mantrain is as solid a player that you will ever come across.

lonewolf - This player really does his homework. He will be prepared and he will represent AZ in a big way.

killercactus - I haven't ever seen Killer play but his posts and performance can not be denied. He knows what he is doing and he will bring his A game for sure.

Jormi_Boced - Jormi has made the second day each of the last two years. He knows scape as well as anybody and can play with the best. If he didn't have to contend with spider at every single event, he could easily have the same tournament reputation that spider has achieved. Solid with a capitol S.

There are so many solid contenders in the list of Championship contestants that coming up with a team was pretty difficult. Going back and forth between several names, I finally opted to go with a draft of well known heavy-hitters:
