First round of tests are in. Gonna play the army test a second time, bumping the Sharks by 10 and swapping Iron Man for Wolverine. Then I'll give the SHIELD build a run.

They could have won this game as a pair with 0 help. This is a strong build for the Sharks they just didn't hit a good number of their rolls. Gonna try a point bump and play this matchup again.

Early in Round 2, Martian Manhunter deals a wound to Luke Cage. It triggers Blood Lust, all 3 Grizzly Sharks are engaged but only 1 takes an LEA. Luke is dealt 1 wound although he is engaged by all of them. Martian Manhunter then uses Telepathic Directive and even though all the GSs engage Spidey, none land their unblockables. Some punches are traded. Spidey eliminated a GS. Spidey misses 2 Sense rolls and takes 4 wounds from Iron Patriot. A complete whiff for Luke causes his demise. Later Iron Patriot rolls big skulls again and deals 3 wounds to Iron Fist. The Martian puts down Danny immediately after. After winning initiative Martian Manhunter rolls 6 skulls and takes out Iron Man. This game was an absolute beatdown, however, the victory was due to MM and Iron Patriot going bananas much more than it was the Sharks. However, there was a lot of potentials for the Sharks to autowound, and getting unblockables against Spidey and Luke Cage are a pretty big deal.
Unit Summary: Sharks only hit 27% of their Land Shark rolls but were lucky enough to only take a single wound from LEAs.

In my army tests I differentiate the Sharks with 1 of 3 colors when it is important for clarity. Army Test

Units: Grizzly Shark (130) x3, Martian Manhunter (1), Iron Patriot (980) VS. Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch, She-Hulk (985)

Very early in the game Mr. Fantastic engages 1 Grizzly Shark and Rubber wraps him, dealing a wound with his normal attack in the process. Human Torch goes Supernova and eliminates 1 GS, while putting 3 wounds on MM, 2 on Iron Patriot and 2 on She-Hulk. Mr. Fantastic hits an 18 with his FL4 on OM3, R1. During the turn Invisible Woman and She-Hulk team up to eliminate Martian Manhunter. Iron Patriot wins round 2 initiative and is able to deal a wound to Invisible Woman, GS bonds and does a single wound as well. A crippling punch from She-Hulk takes out Iron Patriot and all of the OMs for the team. GS are cleaned up immediately after.
Unit Summary: Rubber wrap completely nullifies one Shark. Another is downed by Supernova quickly and the other cannot risk LEAs with just a single life left. Add on only 2 non-SuperStrength targets for Land Shark and it’s a tough running for the Sharks.
Damage Done (Normal Attack): 1 wound to Invisible Woman out of 1 attacks.
(Land Shark): 1 wound to Invisible Woman out of 1 roll.
Damage Taken: Yellow Shark: 3 wound from Reed in 5 attacks. Purple Shark: 3 wounds from HT’s SuperNova (destroyed). Black Shark: 2 wounds from HT’s SuperNova, 1 wound from She-Hulk (destroyed).
Who won and how many wounds did they have?Fantastic Four is victorious: Mr. Fantastic 0 wounds, She-Hulk 1 wound, Human Torch 0 wounds, Invisible Woman 4 wounds.

Round 1 starts with Iron Patriot losing Initiative and having MM’s OMs placed on the Black Grizzly Shark’s card. More bad news as Bullseye wallops Iron Patriot for 4 skulls to 0 shields followed by a Hand Ninja with 3 skulls to 0 shields. Black Grizzly Shark then misses 3 out of his 3 Land Shark rolls, he does eliminate a single Hand Ninja with his normal attack. Elektra enters the picture and puts down the Black GS with the remaining OMs. Elektra hits 5/5 skulls to Martian Manhunter’s 1 shield. A disastrous 1st round for team Sharks. Martian Manhunter hits back hard after winning Initiative, dealing 3 to Elektra but Purple Grizzly Shark misses his two Land Shark chances. GS and MM succeed in blocking all attacks on turn 2 and GS hits 2 Land Shark rolls to eliminate a Hand Ninja and wound Elektra. Martian Manhunter survives the round and wins the following Initiative. MM deals a staggering 4 wounds to Kingpin triggering Land Shark which succeeds in eliminating Kingpin along with the last Hand Ninja. All OMs were on Kingpin. MM destroys Elektra, Telepathic Directive results in GS wounding Bullseye. On OM3 MM deals 3 wounds to Bullseye, Telepathic Directive results in 1 wound to Nitro. After losing Initiative, MM and Grizzly Shark are destroyed by a Self-Detonating Nitro.
Unit Summary: Lots of action in this game for the Grizzly Sharks. MM managed to get them out of any LEAs, and they hit 50% of their Land Shark rolls. Had Iron Patriot and the other Shark not gotten savaged in round 1 this game could have swung the other way.
Damage Done (Normal Attack): Destroyed 1 Hand Ninja on 1 attack.
(Special Attack/other): 6 out of 12 rolls. 1 to Elektra, 1 to Kingpin and destroyed 2 Hand Ninjas, 1 to Bullseye, 1 to Nitro.
Damage Taken: Black Shark: 2 wounds from 2 Hand Ninja attacks, final wound from Elektra in a single attack (destroyed). Purple Shark: 1 wound out of 3 Hand Ninja attacks, 1 wound from 1 Kingpin attack, 1 wound from Nitro Explosion SA (destroyed).
Who won and how many wounds did they have?Assassins are victorious with Bullseye with 3 wounds, and Nitro with 1 wound, along with 2 Bodyguards.
Army Test - What should be the unit's point value? 120 - Give a brief overview.Cyclops drops early but Cable is hot defensivly and deals wounds often enough to trigger Blood Frenzy. All around good luck for the Sharks but they fall just short of victory.

Game Summary: Round 1 saw a swift defeat of Cyclops and his 2 OMs. Cable defends against multiple attacks and wounds Bullseye for 2 wounds, Blood Scent is triggered and all 3 Sharks engage multiple enemies. The roles result in the defeat of 2 Hand Ninja’s and 1 wound to Kingpin. Cable deals another wound to Bullseye after winning Initiative, Blood scent deals a wound to Bullseye. Kingpin and Elektra both fail to deal any damage. Cable deals 2 wounds to Elektra which triggers Blood Scent and a potential 3 LEAs for the Grizzly Sharks, 1 of them hits and destroys Yellow Shark. 1 of the Land Shark rolls succeeds in hurting Elektra. Kingpin deals 2 wounds to Purple Shark. Nitro’s attack is blocked by Cable. After winning Initiative Cable destroys Elektra from height. Nitro blasts himself and catches all of his opponents in the blast, however it only results in 1 wound to Cable. Cable destroys Bullseye. Kingpin injures Cable for 1 and after defending against his double attack Kingpin puts down the Mutant. After 7 or so turns of attack trading Kingpin eliminates the two Grizzly Sharks unharmed for the win.
Unit Summary: Decent action for the Sharks here, as most Sharks survived till the end. High hit rate on Land Shark rolls, and good luck with only 1 LEA landing.
Damage Done (Normal Attack): 0 wounds out of 6 attacks or so on Kingpin.
(Land Shark): 5 out of 6, 1 wound to Kingpin, 1 to Bullseye, 1 to Elektra and 2 Hand Ninjas.
Damage Taken: Yellow Shark: 2 wounds out of 2 attacks from Kingpin, 1 LEA from Kingpin (destroyed). Black and Purple Shark: 3 wounds each from Kingpin in around 7 attacks (destroyed).
Who won? List of figures remaining in the winning army (include life remaining for heroes): Kingpin’s Crew is victorious with Kingpin with 1 wound, and 1 Hand Ninjas, (Technically Nitro survived as well but I forgot to place him o the battlefield after his SA, 0 wounds though)
THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Cost is difficult to nail down because they lost each of these games, 1 close, 1 medium, and 1 big loss. In each game however they felt like they had the potential to do some work. I feel like 110 to 120 is the sweet spot. I believe these are draftable due to the fun nature of swarming land sharks and the low level of attention you need to pay them. Their balance didn’t seem to be a problem, LEAs can really keep them in check and might make a player think twice about who they attack, an unfortunate Blood Frenzy trigger can decimate your Sharks. It is also fairly simple to limit the damage they can rack up on you by simply drafting some SuperStrength figures.
GENERAL THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT: Overall I think these guys are pretty darn fun. Even in the losses I had a blast flying around the map rolling unblockables.
I think there will be a bit of a learning curve on OM placement in order to maximize the blood frenzy without losing your sharks to LEA's. They could be fun to play along side Ghost Walk types of figures, then you can move around and pick your targets more carefully. Thinking Blade and some Sharks would be fun, maybe with a few Archers backing them up.
