You may then place Vegeta adjacent to the chosen figure. Figures other than Vegeta moved by this special power will not take leaving engagement attacks.

Choose a figure to attack and roll 4 attack dice. For each skull rolled, roll one additional attack die. This special attack may only be used once per round.

AFTERIMAGE TECHNIQUE
If Vegeta is attacked by an adjacent attack and at least 1 skull is rolled, roll the 20-sided die. If you roll 13 or higher, Vegeta takes no damage and may immediately be placed on any empty space adjacent to the attacking figure. R2: Lanterns win initiative. Kilowog boosts the boys again. Vegeta lands an Atomic Blast and Hal blocks his hit with a Lantern Marker. Hal swings on Vegeta and misses, he takes another turn. Hal swings again and Vegeta blocks. John flies to high ground and lands a good shot on Vegeta hitting him for 4 wounds. Blue Lantern flies to Vegeta’s side and lands 2 wounds on John.

R3: Vegeta wins initiative. Vegeta lands an Atomic Blast on Hal and his normal attack is blocked. Hal swings on Vegeta and Blue Lantern negates the attack with a Lantern Marker. Blue Lantern attacks Hal and John, Hal blocks the attack and John negates it sending a wound back at Blue Lantern. John tries an attack on Vegeta, but he dodges it. Vegeta attacks John and he negates the attack hitting Vegeta for 1 wound.

R4: Vegeta wins initiative. Vegeta hits John with an Atomic Blast and decides not to attack him. John gets a lucky shot on Vegeta ending his reign of terror. Blue Lantern attempts to hit John and ends up taking a wound. John lands a wound on Blue Lantern and having lost their last turn, John goes again. Blue Lantern negate and heals with a Lantern Marker.

R5: Vegeta wins initiative. Blue Lantern lands a big hit on John and he is down for the count. Kilowog moves up and makes his way towards Star-Lord. Blue Lantern lands a wound on Kilowog. Star-Lord blocks an attack from Kilomog.

R6: Lanterns win initiative. Kilowog hits Star-Lord for 2 wounds. Kilowog blocks Blue Lantern’s attack. Star-Lord blocks an attack and Blue Lantern takes Kilowog down.

Batman cruises across the bridge and knocks Carol out. Vegeta hits Superman for a wound with Atomic Blast and Superman blocks his next attack. Wonder Woman moves to backup Superman and lands 2 wounds on Vegeta.

R3: JL win initiative. Superman hits Vegeta for 1 wound. Vegeta hits Superman with a good punch laying him out. Batman comes from around a tree and smacks War Machine for 1 wound. Vegeta lands a small Final Flash on Wonder Woman hitting her for 1 wound. Wonder Woman hits Vegeta hard for 2 wounds.

R4: JL win initiative. Wonder Woman’s attack is blocked and then she blocks an attack from Vegeta. Wonder Woman lands the final hit on Vegeta. Vegeta’s team loses their turn and Batman smokes War Machine with a heavy hit.

Winning Team: Wonder Woman with 3 wounds, and Batman unwounded.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Love how Vegeta plays. He is definitely raw power coming at you hard. Atomic Blast is extremely helpful for him to control the battlefield and put figures where he wants them. Final Flash is one of those powers that is cool but not super reliable. It’s good when you just can’t reach your opponent, but Vegeta likes to be up close and personal. Afterimage Technique was hard to land, but I’m fine with that, when it did land it was cool. 2 wins 1 loss, I’m eager to see what the outcome of some of the public playtests look like.

Yeah, I'd definitely watch him closely. I'd be interested in the Vegeta/Goku matchup too, to make sure they're pretty even.

Can you change Afterimage Technique to Afterimage Technique 13? It's a pretty reusable power so it'd be nice to reuse with a different number.

I can make that change for Afterimage Technique, easy. I'll run a 1v1 of Goku vs Vegeta tonight before I propose for Public Playtesting. It would probably be good to see how they match up, yeah.

SUPER KAMEHAMAHA SPECIAL ATTACK
Range special. Attack 4 + Special.
Choose 5 spaces in a straight line from Goku. All figures on the chosen spaces within clear sight of Goku are affected by this special attack. Roll attack dice once for all figures. Add one automatic skull to this special attack if Goku did not move normally this turn.

THOUGHTS ON THE TESTED UNIT'S COST, BALANCE, & DRAFTABILITY: Holy crap. These guys are so fun to play. 2 wins 2 loses for both, seems pretty even to me. They can be a bit swingy, totally dominating or totally bombing. Luck of the dice, I guess. They play differently which is great, Vegeta is aggressive and Goku is more Strategic. Can’t wait to see more of these guys get designed.
