I mean, my abstain is in place to help votes move forward. Changing it to a yea wouldn't have really done much for you.

Our current procedure requires a majority of Heroes to either vote on a decision of post their Abstention - so technically, even with four votes, this does not pass (as 4/8 is not "greater than 50%," as the current rules define majority).

But in retrospect, the wording is a bit nebulous as to whether "a post specifying that they Abstain from the vote" would have to be in-thread or a single blanket Abstain would also count. I've been interpreting it as the former but I could see an argument for the latter. How do people feel about that?

I think the latter is the only way that makes sense, or you paralyze the group when a number of Heroes are inactive (or essentially force students to step down rather than going on abstain in order to not be a cog in the works).

I don't think an Abstain should be counted for or against, it is still counted as a vote though for the total number you need 50% on. Then I thought if their was a tie Sidekicks got to vote.
