Required Sets: 1 Printable TARDIS Interior Battlefield

NOTE: This map is meant to be played with the TARDIS Destructible Object.

SETUP:
The TARDIS Interior is intended to be played in addition to other battlefields. If a scenario or TARDIS Army Card references the TARDIS Interior, place the TARDIS Interior beside any other battlefield in the play area, unconnected. If multiple scenarios or TARDIS Army Cards reference a TARDIS Interior, place a separate TARDIS Interior for each one. When a scenario or TARDIS Army Card refers to the TARDIS Interior, it refers to its specific TARDIS Interior. A TARDIS may never occupy its specific TARDIS Interior.

SPECIAL RULES

DIMENSIONAL ENGINEERING
When a figure would enter the TARDIS Vehicle Destructible Object, instead place it on an empty space inside the TARDIS Interior. Any figure in the TARDIS Interior is considered to occupy the TARDIS. A figure occupying the green Driver space in the TARDIS interior is considered to be the Driver of the TARDIS.

TARDIS CONSOLE
The center space on the map is the TARDIS Console. Figures may not occupy this space.

-Rulings and Clarifications-

This Extra Battlefield is to be played using the Battlefields Divided scenario within The Book of Removing Terrain Rules. As such, the following additional rules also apply:

• Each battlefield is considered a separate battlefield for the purpose of any special powers. Special powers that refer to "the battlefield" refer to the battlefield that the figure or glyph currently occupies. If that figure does not occupy any battlefield, "the battlefield" may refer to any battlefield in play.
• Figures, glyphs, etc. that are on separate battlefields are not considered to be within clear sight of each other, or within any number of spaces of each other.
• If a battlefield exists at the end of any figure's turn without any figures occupying it or any special powers in play referencing it, that battlefield is no longer considered in play.
• Victory conditions apply to all battlefields separately, and are not resolved until they can be resolved on all battlefields simultaneously.
• Each winner of each battlefield is awarded 1 victory point. If a battlefield was occupied only by figures drafted by one player or team at the start of game, that battlefield is worth 0 victory points. The player or players with the most victory points are deemed to be the winners of the game. If no battlefield can award victory points, the game cannot be played.

Seems pretty straightforward.

Biggest question is whether it'll be worth the extra hardware, as it's not a very large or dynamic map.

I take it you want the Driver space shaded green?
That should be doable.

Yeah, curious if this gets any play vs. the "real" map. Going to be a lot flatter, which limits your options strategically.

I think the fact that the TARDIS is pretty impervious means that the enemy will have to charge into the TARDIS to take out any of your figures sitting in there. Will that be fun, who knows, but that's how I see the map getting use.

I left it as green(?) cause I didn't quite know how to describe the current space. Anything is fine with me, but I think it should definitely be clear to the end player which space is the Driver space, so a green (that seems to be our VDO color) space makes sense to me. I guess we also need a way to indicate you can't stand on the center console, but I figure an FAQ can handle that.

Looking at these rules again in conjunction with the proposed new power on the TARDIS, I think these change makes sense;

PARADOXICAL IMPOSSIBILITY
If a figure that refers to a TARDIS Interior ever occupies its specific TARDIS Interior, immediately destroy that figure and each player that controls any figures on the TARDIS Interior may place those figures in their Start Zone. Figures placed with Paradoxical Impossibility will not take any leaving engagement attacks.

No clue if wording is solid. First change just accounts for the existence of multiple Tardises in a game, and the second accounts for the Tardis materializing in itself, which just shouldn't be happening.

The new one per game power seems like it would allow you to teleport inside itself. Just seems like a good thing to safeguard against in general, since that could be a pretty nasty trap if you could put the Tardis on its own Driver space.

Could go simpler if that power seems too complex. Just like "The TARDIS can never occupy its own TARDIS Interior."
