Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
With dok's crafty Tenchu of a new card...there is no "llop" issue because you have to reveal an order marker on the card and you have to take a turn with any "other" Elemental hero.
This is exactly like Wrymling bonding. C3V Current Broadcast 4/29/2015 C3V Testimonial from " Easily the best quality classic customs I have ever seen" MY MINIATURE COLLECTION -- NEW VALHALLA |

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
What is your induction policy? 5 out of 6 yes votes? Just wondering because the Zombie Hulk has been sitting on 4 yes for awhile now. Any chance Killometer or 1Mmring will cast a vote in the near future. ZH is the only custom allowed on our game field currently, and that was before it was nominated for SoV. Looking forward to making it somewhat official. Keep up the good work gentlemen. Looking forward to your next event ZB... peace

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
There is always a good chance the Zombie Hulk will be the first SoV approved unit but we will have to see. Testing takes time, its not a quick process.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
I am enjoying the Zombie Hulk and hope to do one or two more tests before making my final decision. Stay tuned .

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
Keep in mind, even after a unit gets a 5th vote there is a 'finalization' process where we pow-wow with the C3V to make sure the unit is compliant with anything that is in the C3V and C3V pipeline (same goes for developing C3V units with established SoV units).
We are keeping the C3V apprised as we test so that phase of the process shouldn't hold things up too much. -insert signature here- |

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
I would like to submit Killometer's Rat Swarm. The figure is from Savage Encounters #28. The figure is 2.99 individually, .69 cents unpainted (132 available), or it is currently being sold as a three "man" squad with card for 5.99. All prices are from Auggies website.
To me this figure screams theme just like Dok's Zombie Hulk. Here is the discussion thread that was made for the Auggies submission http://www.heroscapers.com/community...ad.php?t=35427 Everything is explained very clearly in the discussion thread. Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
Should be "Rat Swarm *is* never attacked..."
Who is that Killometer guy, anyway. |

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
Isn't Swarm plural in this instance so *are* is OK?

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
Actually swarm is a collective noun. It is like saying herd for deer. There are many deer but only one herd. So it counts as being singular. "Is" would be the correct answer.

Re: Soldiers of Valhalla - nominations and discussion
With three figures, though, "swarms" would be appropriate.
Rat Swarms are never attacked when leaving an engagement. A Rat Swarm is never attacked when leaving an engagement. |

Agree with you 100% on using the wording of "swarms" and "are". My next question is whether or not the name of the card should Rat Swarm or Rat Swarms? Or is there no problem with keeping Rat Swarm and then saying Rat Swarms in the ability? I can see some logic in that because you would take multiple squads of this figure. Just not sure what the best answer is. There are no current cards that use collective nouns as their name. On a side note: Another reason why I like this custom so much is because even though the same sculpt is used, it doesn't feel out of place for them. There is so much going on with that sculpt that each one feels different to me. Cool affect in my opinion. |
