Spriting: A work in progress?

Okay, Original post below, but first. Thanks to all that are participating. This has gone on longer than I thought.

I'm not sure how many people here will know of (or maybe remember is a better word for some?) spriting. Sprites are the small pictures used in video games, for those who don't know.

Anyways... I felt like spriting some HeroScape figures. Why? Well... uh... I did want to make an animation of Braxas, but I haven't finished that yet.

So! I was wondering if anyone here was into spriting? And what some people thought of my sprite of Braxas.

Any spriters, I would love to see some of your work, if you'd allow?

(BTW... it looks better on a dark background, if I can get it up, I'll show you, if you're interested.)

I started to make some small 32x32 sprites for a HS game I was making a while back. i need to find them, that game was going to be awesome...I'd love to see some more of your work though

I'll get the Braxas on a dark BG up.

So far though, this is the only HS related sprite I've made. I think I'm going to do Ne-Gok-Sa next.

But I could put up some other sprites, if you want.

I'd love to see those, if you can find them.

I use MS Paint. Get really close and draw it pixel by pixel.

I'll post some things tomorrow. Time for me to go to bed.... *yawn*

Oh yeah, I love to sprite. I find that using Fire Emblem sprites from the GBA games work well for making smaller sprites or faces. I'll post some later maybe.

I used to sprite...but I was never good at it. I only made a couple of sheets until I was laughed out of town. I never really considered spriting Heroscape...I have over 100 megabytes of sprites in a compressed folder somewhere...maybe I can find a base to modify.

In all honesty I admire you guys and your work. I have aspirations of computer animating / animated series / cartooning etc. but really don't have the time to pick it all back up again at the moment.

Nontheless, keep doing what you're doing. And by chance if any of you guys happen to sell some make-shift website that takes off beyond anyone's expectations, and you sell it for billions,...

Heh, I was going to post a Robo-rat, but I've been busy getting ready to go back to school, making custom figures, playing some new NDS games, etc.

That is an awesome Finn, bluekitsune! I'll check out the Fire Emblem sprites, might save me time remaking some base work.

There you go, I animated Finn now. I'll pat myself on the back for this one, as I think it turned out rather well. I have a lot of time off the next week, so expect some more to get done too.

Wow. That's really nice. Maybe I'll get around to animating Braxas. Or maybe I'll make the Robo-Rat. I don't know....
